I think it would work to have Jenny and Vastra share an origin story. Something along the lines of Underground workers start mysteriously dying. The Doctor shows up and meets Jenny. Somehow the two get drawn into an investigation. They discover Vastra is killing the underground workers. Jenny is kind to Vastra and the two fall in love. Vastra realizes that humans aren't inherently evil and decides to find a place in their society. You could call it The Daughter of Yesterday after Vastra, maybe even have an external influence that is using the workers in the Underground as canaries, deliberately re-awakening the Silurians (or their technology) for their own purposes. Maybe a Dr. Caligari plot where the captured Silurians are hypnotised and forced to perform murders to boost the status of the third party. ... I just realised someone should be writing this.

Is it just me?I did not like the Paternoster Gang at all,it was all too contrived for me and it also crowded my tiny wee Scottish minds vision of the Who universe HAVING Jago and Litefoot running around one end of town and The Paternoster on the other side of town.

Well there has been a small amount of cross over between the Paternoster Gang and Jago & Litefoot, as well as Strax joining for a adventure I am sure that Quick has mentioned Vastra in the past.
In my personal head canon it is the Fifth Doctor who has adventures with the Paternoster gang whilst his predecessor and his post incarnation spend time with Jago and Litefoot.
With the sad conclusion of that range I hope that Big Finish can give us some more Victorian adventures, but now with the Paternoster Gang who I am sure will mention Professor Litefoot in passing and may even cross paths with Henry Gordan Jago.

I would prefer Ellie and Jago adventures That would not be my preference. Much as I love Ellie, Quick, and Jago, and as much as I’d hate for Chris Benjamin to be out of work due to Trevor’s passing, I just can’t fathom Jago without Litefoot.

A Jago cameo would be OK without Litefoot, but no more than a cameo

Yep fully understand that sometimes you just should stop and enjoy the Jago and litefoot adventures as they stand. What i was meaning was I would prefer those two characters to the Paternoster gang and Jago

Thread necromancy? Let Litefoot rest in peace lol I don't mind the thread necromancy, it's good that you look for prior threads on what you talk about rather than making a new one. Keeps all the discussion about a topic in one place. Just noticed that you're doing a lot of it. Hence my comment. (Not meant as any kind of criticism, just to be clear. )

Is it just me?I did not like the Paternoster Gang at all,it was all too contrived for me and it also crowded my tiny wee Scottish minds vision of the Who universe HAVING Jago and Litefoot running around one end of town and The Paternoster on the other side of town. No, I'm not keen either. Mind you, in their last television appearance Jenny seemed to be getting uncomfortable with Vastra, I thought, so perhaps Steven Moffat cooled on them as well.
(According to the tardis wikia, there are references in books and whatnot that confirm that Jago and Litefoot, the Paternoster Gang, and Sherlock Holmes are all separate people working at the same time and who have met each other)

Are BF allowed to use the Paternosters together yet, or is the 'individuals only' thing still in affect?

Previously Nick Briggs has always stated that they are not allowed to use the Paternoster Gang. However a few weeks back on the podcast when asked about them there was not the same negative response. I have my fingers crossed!

They were so great together.
