Like everyone else, very excited by this. I feel however there is more to get excited about than we have been told so far .... Still, £45 isn't as bad for the wallet as it could have been, so that's a plus
In Australian dollars this will be over $100. Just done some rough calcumalations.. WOW. But deluxe 8 disc boxset- Will defer from mortgage to pre order.

Even at pre-order prices, how are they still doing £5 per hour on download? Wait ... two of those are behind-the-scenes discs. So it's not the regular £5 per story. (Not that I don't want those two discs to be there.)
Also, 4000 copies? That's less than the 5000 for the 10th Doctor Adventures. But it doesn't have David Tennant in it... (I say mournfully.)

It looks to be one release. Is this the first time they've released a (physical) box set of more than five discs (including behind the scenes disc)? Like everyone else, very excited by this. , there's the Destiny of the Doctor box set with 12 discs, though that's a different style of packaging to normal. aussiedoctorwhofan, it was under $100 for me |

But this set still looks fine Clarification: I was going for "no David = not sell as well = fewer copies." And it's a shame it will get lower sales just because he's not in it, considering how big it is. Personally, this is exactly what I want, as long as it is executed well. (Good luck with that, but tentatively hopeful.) |

Well, so far we've got the 4th Doctor Comic Strip Adaptations, the 7th Doctor New Adventures, and The Legacy of Time. There's apparently going to be a box set focusing on each Doctor, so there's probably at least one each for the 5th and 6th Doctors (at least). The 4th and 7th Doctor box sets are in a combined bundle, though The Legacy of Time does not have a bundle with them. The 5th and 6th Doctor sets will likely be announced at the same time and bundled. So if you want to make sure of getting a CD of The Legacy of Time, I'd recommend pre-ordering now to be certain. If you're going for the download, you might be able to waited and get some sort of 20th Anniversary bundle, but it likely won't save you any money, otherwise those who pre-ordered early could complain that they didn't get the discounted prices, yet they ordered first. Does that help, or is it too ramby? (I wouldn't be surprised  ) |

I'm a download only customer for the 1:1 currency conversion, which allows me to purchase everything at about half-price. I couldn't afford these without it. Not that I can afford it anyway... |
