Well, so far we've got the 4th Doctor Comic Strip Adaptations, the 7th Doctor New Adventures, and The Legacy of Time. There's apparently going to be a box set focusing on each Doctor, so there's probably at least one each for the 5th and 6th Doctors (at least). The 4th and 7th Doctor box sets are in a combined bundle, though The Legacy of Time does not have a bundle with them. The 5th and 6th Doctor sets will likely be announced at the same time and bundled. So if you want to make sure of getting a CD of The Legacy of Time, I'd recommend pre-ordering now to be certain. If you're going for the download, you might be able to waited and get some sort of 20th Anniversary bundle, but it likely won't save you any money, otherwise those who pre-ordered early could complain that they didn't get the discounted prices, yet they ordered first. Does that help, or is it too ramby? (I wouldn't be surprised  ) As a download-only customer, I'm not worried. But where do we get a box set for each Doctor from? Based on the comments earlier, I thought it was just speculation. (Although, with 4 and 7 getting one each, I suppose 5 and 6 need one too.) |

The 'Technical Details' page of the release says it will be an "8-disc CD (deluxe slipcover book)", which matches the description of The Light at the End's "5-disc CD (deluxe slipcover book)", so I'm going to say it'll be the same sort of thing (Thanks for making me check, I had been curious) |

As far as I can gather there's a Boxset or Special Release planned for "Every Doctor" plus this Legacy Doctor for release in 2019/2020. Whether "Every Doctor" means every Doctor BF use so 1-11 or every Doctor Actor they use I don't know.

Question is: do I pre-order now, or wait to see what else is planned? There was more stuff planned, right? There is more stuff planned but this release is limited to 4000 Physical Boxset so I'd order it sooner rather than later.

Previous limited edition stuff hasn't gone that quickly. I panic bought LATE, 4rth Dr novel adaptations, 10DAs and the Prisoner series 1 when they were announced, and I recently picked up the deluxe Frankenstien limited edition in a sale. I think the limited editions are all still available bar vol 1 of the 10DAs. Not sure these are going to sell that fast |

Now we just need some more Six with Peri and Five with Tegan and Turlough stories and we're on the road to everyone being happy. |

Re the box sets: yeah, I think they're releases made specifically to cater to things that people have been asking for. People wanted Fourth Doctor comic adaptions, they've got them. People wanted more stories with Chris and Roz, they've got them. Now we just need some more Six with Peri and Five with Tegan and Turlough stories and we're on the road to everyone being happy. I suppose I'm also a bit disappointed if those types of box sets are all we'll get. Legacy of Time celebrates Doctor Who at Big Finish, but it doesn't celebrate each individual Doctor at Big Finish. Colin, especially, has made leaps and bounds over his TV era, and I want a celebration of that. A moment of silence for Maggie Stables and Evelyn Smythe. |

The Beard of Rassilon sat on the floor in the corner of room, rocking gently. His eyes were wide and staring at the computer screen on the table. I started listening to Big Finish with the Eight/Charley stories (thanks to Eight's name-drops in The Night Of The Doctor), so I'm super thrilled to see Charley's face on that poster.
I hope there's a UNIT The New Series sale somewhere in the next eleven months. Of the spinoffs that look to be involved in this, that the one I'd most like to catch up on before it comes out.
