All the synopsis sound really interesting but I am especially looking forward to a story set during the San Francisco Earth Quake. Good choice for a setting.

I am super hyped for Eight vs Voord! I just love so many of the aliens from Sixties Who. Now we just need the Sensorites and the Macra back :3

The return of the Voord is the highlight for me. After Domain of the Voord, I really hoped Big Finish would use them again. There's something exciting about revisiting an enemy that appeared in only one tv story all the way back in the show's first season and adding some depth to them.

So I guess River Song is only in one story then?
The way it was announced and her positioning on the box kind of made me think she'd be in the entire box set. Still a great idea to have a new series character in a classic series release though.

It's also intresting to see how they develop into the beings we see in The Four Doctors (Titan Comics multi-Doctor event) where they seem to have experienced some devolution. Embargo or not, Big Finish could always put particular pieces in place.....

It's possible her presence will be interwoven into all stories, with the final story resolving why (perhaps she can only intervene when the right moment comes)?

Maybe she's trying to avoid the Eighth Doctor because she's aware of the issues with their personal timelines (he hasn't met her yet, undetermined point in River's timeline), and the fourth story is when she has no choice but to interact with him directly. The third box set might be about the resolving of problems stemming from their interaction. I do hope that the Eighth Doctor doesn't get amnesia and simply forget about her though, as amnesia is almost a cliche for the Eighth Doctor (one arc in the novels ended in him lose everything he knew and starting off with a completely blank and continuity-free slate). Repressing the memories, so that they resurface after the Eleventh Doctor has met her a few times?

Slight digression. Wouldn't it be great if we had The Two Rivers, a Doctor Who/Firefly crossover.

Maybe River dosen't meet 8 face to face or is in disguise? Or she wipes his memory (if the Diary of River box set is a hit, I think it's very likely she'll be bumping into other doctors...)
I'm not sure if I'd enjoy another amnesia plot for 8...
On the other hand, would the 8th Doctor necessarily remember a woman he met fleetingly a couple of times over the course of his very long life? He didn't recognize Bernice when he bumped into her in Benny Story and the 2 had already shared many adventures in his previous incarnation.

I think its interesting that we're getting two separate stories where River meets Eight. I wonder if the stories will be linked in some way. I'm also glad that Eight is returning to his hometown for an episode.

I don't remember that! Is this The Dying Days or Benny's Story in The Company of Friends? Because he remembers her in the latter, and is merely surprised to see her.

I think Benny's story is set quite a while after The Dying Days. Especially since she mentions the ending of that book in her prologue. I think he's just travelled for ages between then

I trust BF will have a sensible way of handling this, personally I am expecting a Charley/6 type resolution. I doubt there will be a situation where the Doctor (pre-Silence in the Library) keeps crossing paths with River Song and keeps not seeing her face or keeps not catching her name or keeps forgetting her. That can work once, maybe twice at a pinch, but it stretches credibility if it happens too often.
