The very vaguely titled thread? Because I didn't remotely suggest it could be retitled or anything... It is literally called This. Even on the Doctor Who board it’s very non-indicative.

Wow! A dream come true for Lucie fans. And they couldn't have picked better writers for this than Nick, Eddie and Alan as they were amongst the best writers for the original Lucie series. (Alice Cavendish I'm not familiar with, but I would have nothing negative to say about her)

I'm really not trying to cause an argument here, but I'm saying that the thread can literally be given a new name. There's no arguing against that, it's been done before. And it was only a question/suggestion, and I've no doubt the mods are probably going to do it anyway as it doesn't make sense to have two threads on the same topic.

It’s worth noting that Big Finish mention each incarnation of the Doctor will have their own set as part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations. That’s nice, I don’t think it was explicitly stated before; just they’d be doing special releases for their Doctors.

(Alice Cavendish I'm not familiar with, but I would have nothing negative to say about her) She’s written Short Trips with Lucie that include The Young Lions and Curse of the Fugue, as well as the subscriber Short Trip Caves of Erith. She also wrote False Coronets from The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles. Young Lions comes highly recommended, it feels like a complete story in the traditional sense, rather than the usual Short Trips style of presenting the story from the perspective or proximity of a particular character.

All I really needed to see was Eddie Robson writing one of these and here we are. As Nick makes note of, Doctor Who is returning constantly to Doctor/Companion pairings, so why not 8 & Lucie? Why not indeed!

Nice catch It’s great to hear, particularly as John Hurt is one of the Big Finish Doctors, but is also one who’s no longer with us. And I was concerned he’d be glossed over due to this passing, despite BF being the ones who actually gave him an era.

Its been stated in Podcasts and Twitter that every Doctor would have a Specal release each this is the first confirmation they will be boxset. Wether they're all additional releases to the regular output and how War, 9th, 11th, 12th Docs will be represented we don't know yet.

It's never 11 years since Lucie Miller started travelling with the Doctor, surely!
Edited to add: the fact that we know Lucie's ultimate fate will add an extra poignancy to these stories. I'm really excited about them, to be honest - and it is good to see the Fendahl back in some form or fashion. I loved the television story. And at only twenty quid download, well, it's on my list

The promoter was in constant talks with him for months b4 it aired and he couldn't believe he kept it such a secret- literally no one but a select few BBC people knew what they had filmed.

It’s bookending Alan Barnes’s time as script editor. The first Lucie season was his first thing as script editor and this will be/is is his last.

Oooh. This reminds me I haven't heard most of the EDAs yet, need to get back into them.
Also this comes out in July, as does the Time War Series 3. Two McGann box sets in the same month!

Great stuff; love that TARDIS duo and can’t wait to delve back into this era again! Note that’s another classic monster Big Finish can notch off, the Fendahl. I like it’s horror aspect (Image of the Fendahl felt like the swan song of the Philip Hinchcliffe gothic period),so hopefully Alan Barnes can do it justice. I’m aware it’s turned up in the Kaldor City or Faction Paradox audios. I just skimmed the titles so OMFG THE FENDAHL ARE BACK YAS Image was one of my first classic Who stories and it’s so underrated brilliant weird and spooky

Interesting timing. I just got back into the Eighth Doctor Adventures after remembering they were one-hour stories. (I stopped just after the beginning of Series 3.)

Ive never seen that photo before I found it on one of his fansites while I was searching for more of his Sharpe audiobooks a while back, there are more here at this link. Makes me wonder actually, have we had a Napoleonic era Eighth Doctor story yet? I dont think we have
