At least it's not a one-armed episode. Then we might be dealing with Grandfather Paradox.
In all seriousness, have you listened the Dark Shadows audio House by the Sea? It's not quite the same thing, but it's pretty close. It works wonderfully.

When you're doing a one-hander..and your sole actor is Peter Capaldi, I think your worries dissipate somewhat.
Worried? I can't wait.

I'm more worried about episode nine. Mark Gatiss isn't exactly the strongest Who writer, and found footage is an unusual format for Doctor Who. Given that episode eleven is written by Moffat, and stars Capaldi, I am more excited than I am worried.

When you have a performer like Capaldi, a writer such as Steven Moffat and a character that has lived for thousands of years and with a dozen different faces, I'd say there is a lot to worth with.

Worried about ep 11. A one handed doctor who episode... I think it'll work out just fine. Who needs to take risks now and again to stay fresh and that's part of the fun and the hype of it all, isn't it? To see how they are going to pull it off?

I'm cautiously optimistic about Sleep No More and I do agree with you that I find Mark Gattis's TV Doctor Who work to be uneven. But, I'm very intrested to see how Calpadi will play The Doctor in a more realistic format and how that will feed into the tale itself and how the format will commentate on Clara's deattachment from everyday life.

My review of sleep no more will go live tonight...
I hope that my opinion is not the one that most fans share.

I almost always enjoy Gattis eps. He puts in a lot of references for fans of classic British horror and sci-fi which I like to pick apart. Most of all I'm looking forward to seeing Reece Shearmsith in Who. For about 10 years I've been saying my top 3 picks for THe Doctor were Peter Capaldi, Reece Shearsmith and Chiwitel Ejiford. I got one, one's guesting and the other is too busy being a Hollywood star

I agree; I'm not sure it's a good idea. How's it going to work? You can't have the Doctor spend the entire episode talking to himself as it would seem as though you're getting one half of a conversation. You can't have the Doctor spend the entire episode silent because that would be boring. You can't have the Doctor just sit around and do nothing because that would also be boring.
The only way I can see it working is if Peter Capaldi is simply just the only actor and all the other characters in the story have his face; the entire episode could be about 'why' they have his face and how it ties in with The Girl Who Died, where he learnt he subconsciously chose his face as a reminder of how he saved Caelicius from Pompeii.

According to Moffat in this month's DWM, we (the audience) are actually the Doctor's best friend, and he talks to us sometimes when he is alone. That's why he broke the fourth wall in The Dalek's Masterplan and Before the Flood. Basically, its hard to be a hero unless you have somebody to be a hero for, so when the Doctor is alone he imagines an audience rooting for him. I'm pretty sure Moffat was (sort of) joking, and I'm sure that they won't have the Doctor literally talking to an imaginary audience in episode 11, but there is precedent for the Doctor spending a lot of time talking to himself.

Ok then...
I start stage left in a ball then spring up and run in circles.
I then rush to one end of the ever moving stage... And stand still for 81 mins.
Then run to the opposite side and do this...
A LOT No really a lot
Then I do some of those arm windmill things. Fall to the floor and
No. I've still said too much... Through the medium of dance.
