I increasingly disliked late Smith's WHACKY! (And for a similar reason, wasn't much of a Missy fan). Tennant had a bit of that too, but not nearly as much. I could add the romance stuff of early 10, but that wasn't really something you can put on Tennant. It was written that way. (And I couldn't stand it). Ditto the lonely God/superhero stuff, and going all epic when it didn't have to. It’s funny after Tennant being written GodLike superhero like i found Matt Smith more enjoyable.Am watching his weeping angel two parter and really enjoying his River and Amy’s interaction and considering i think this was Karens first performance i think she is excellent especially the Weare mr grumpy today comment

Tennant's Doc. Far too pleased with himself and often crossed the line from confident to smug. I don't dislike him though - he's just my least favourite of the modern Docs. I'm pretty much in sync with David on this one. I grew really tired of the whole lonely God thing and his final story was just terrible. I was ready for 10 to leave by the time his tenure came to a close. Which is funny to me because I think his final full series was his strongest one.
With Matt Smith I never really got tired of him but I never saw the purpose of Clara, so I think his final year suffers from not having a strong traveling companion. And his final story is pretty dreadful as well.

I have to be honest i have hated all the Nu Who regeneration stories. The one that impacted me as a kid was Pertwee leaving because i was young .Matt regenerating was kind of sad too but nowadays they string them out for far too long

Matt regenerating was kind of sad too but nowadays they string them out for far too long David Tennant's most certainly was. The drawn out goodbye's and "I don't want to go" was very painful to watch... But generally I liked most of his era otherwise.

Nine into Ten, and Eleven into Twelve were my favourite regenerations because they didn't outstay their welcome. Sometimes less is more. With the Tenth Doctor, and even my very favourite 'Nu Who' The Twelfth Doctor, there really was a sense of 'get on with it', which cheapens what is a very emotional and unique moment for the show.
Going back to the old series, I wept like an idiot when, literally during the last three minutes of Logopolis, the longest running Doctor saw brief flashbacks of his friends and enemies before turning into a cake that turned into Peter Davison. No loooong speeches, no triumphant tours around old companions - but a more gut-wrenching goodbye, in my view.

Ten. I loved him so much at the time, and I was devastated when David announced that he was leaving, but The End of Time soured me on Ten, frankly. The story itself wasn't great, and the self-indulgent "I don't want to go" line... funny thing is, I didn't want him to go, but by that line I was more than ready for him to leave. Then Matt came along and he was like a breath of fresh air. Going back and rewatching Ten's episodes, I don't enjoy him as much as I did. Tennant's good in the role, but I just don't warm to Ten like I used to. I don't think certain parts of the fandom have helped in regards to Ten, the obsessive Tennant fans that insist he's the best Doctor ever (whilst some of them have only ever seen his Doctor) don't help with my opinion of him.

Much as I love all the Doctors...I found Matt a much more agreeable incarnation and a welcome after Tennants Doctors arrogance that developed.I am all for giving Doctors a send off But even Capaldis Doctor had a long drawn out regeneration ... both him and Tennant i was like..Oh regenerate for Peters sake

Tenth - in fact, I’d rate him the lowest Doctor of all.

I don't have a least favorite, to be honest.
I do have to say that I got tired of Tennant, much as I had previously enjoyed him, during the set of stories that followed Journey's End. I got really tired of the poor old lonely sad frustrated Doctor stories. By the end of the specials, I was looking forward to someone new.
But he's not my least favorite. When he was good, he was fantastic, and there are a lot of episodes of his that I really love.
From the classic era, the Doctor that grabbed me the least was the Fifth Doctor, though there are episodes he did that are great and that I did and do love. So I'm not sure why I have an overall impression of him not standing out to me as much as some other Doctors.

Hello again.
I am a bit funny when it comes to the Doctor. I have no favourite. I liked them all and consider them all to be interesting facets of this alien we know as the Doctor.
It is stories, the writing, that prevent or restrict a Doctor from developing. There needs to be a consistency to the character of the Doctor or an ongoing journey for an incarnation.
9: The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. 10: Human Nature/The Family of Blood 11: Vincent and the Doctor 12: World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls
So, favourite seasons 1,4,5 and 10.
Difficult, because there are so many other highlights. But these are stories and seasons that I watch again and again.

Yeah, ditto for me. We've had such an amazingly good retinue of Doctors that I can't really think of a least favourite. I find Five a bit too straightforward, but I love Enlightenment and Frontios, and on audio, I think he's consistently marvellous. I feel Eleven becomes a bit too much of a screwball wacky comedy protagonist in later series (I'm thinking Bringing Up Baby or Monkey Business), but Vincent and the Doctor is beautiful television and Hunters of the Burning Stone is one of my favourite comics ever. There's always something to enjoy no matter the incarnation. Someone, somewhere always manages to get that balance juuuust right.
