Was hoping it was just a rumour but the likes of Matthew Sweet, Toby Hadoke and Tom Spilsbury are posting it now as news rather than rumour and Jacqueline's publisher Fantom posted the news too.... and what terrible news.
A British sci-fi and horror icon and all round absolute wonder. From her lovely creepy Hammers min the 60s to ruling space itself in the 70s and 80s while being an absolutel legend on the convention circuit. Everyone was "Darling" to Jacks. She'll always be our darling.
So many great moments on BF - how sad to think listening to her and John Hurt together they've both gone now.

Rest in peace. Amazing lady and actress. So glad that we were able to have her for all of her roles such as Servelan and Ollistra.

How terribly sad. Her autobiography was a fascinating insight into Jacqueline and her life. She was fabulous as Ollistra for Big Finish; a real highlight in the Time War releases. And her interview with Nicholas Briggs, Call Me Jacks, is well worth a listen. An icon. RIP. www.bigfinish.com/news/v/rip-jacqueline-pearce

Sad news. And sad that we won't be hearing more of her wonderful voice on future productions.

I am going to move this thread to a more general board, as I think this is of interest to others besides Blake's 7 fans.

I only got to know of her recently with The War Doctor, but now I'm in the middle of this massive binge of Blake and damn, this is just awful. I think I may have to go search out all of her work 'cause she is just marvelous. This is such terrible news.

So very sad 😢. I hate being 54 and seeing all my childhood heroes die. I sent her a fan letter as a teenager in the glorious days of Blake’s 7 with a small stamp addressed envelope. She replied, returning my SAE with a 12” by 10” wonderful personally signed and dedicated photo and note. I loved her for that.
Thoughts and prayers to all her family and friends and RIP Jaqueline, Supreme Commander x

RIP

Oh that's such sad news. A legend of science-fiction several times over, bringing her wonderfully intense presence to Servalan's cold ruthlessness and Ollistra's manipulative strategising, and every line so beautifully played with that wonderful voice.
Beyond the obvious roles, I'd recommend 'Hexagora' frrom the 'Lost Stories' range (with Five, Nyssa and Tegan) where Jacqueline Pearce plays the imperious, clever and increasingly ruthless Queen Zafira - but a role with more than one twist and a final scene which shows her in a rare, delightful comedy performance and which always leaves me with a big smile as the end theme rolls. And the commentary track on 'The Two Doctors' DVD which is great fun, full of anecdotes and happy memories of what sounds like a very enjoyable production.
But the image that always comes to my mind is Servalan's brief moment of triumph at the end of Series C, glorying in victory (so she thinks), arms raised and outstretched, demanding 'Maximum power!'
Supreme Commander, we will remember you.

She stole every scene she was ever in, even in what amounted to a cameo in “Plague of Zombies” she was enthralling.

If you haven't already I'd certainly recommend listening to Nick's interview with her (Call Me Jacks), plus searching the Internet for Russell T Davies' tribute (particularly the part about Dark Season).
In my mind they perfectly sum up the glorious force of nature that was Jacqueline Pearce.
A sad day. Rest in peace Madam President.
