This is kind of why I will not travel to seek out a copy myself: (not having a dig at those buying on behalf of others such as overseas fans - just the scalpers)

Not sure why they didn't mention it in promotional material to save people not close to an ASDA running about but I've noticed that, unlike the earlier ASDA exclusives this time they've gone down the later HMV route of making them available to order for delivery on their website, which should pre-empt the scalpers and save UK buyers running round like headless chickens! I'd get in quick before those set aside for online are snapped up though... groceries.asda.com/product/vinyl/vinyl-1963-fanfare-for-the-common-men-dr-who-asda-exclusive/1000249319067

"Unboxing Vid" from Kenny Smith Bah! Forget the 'unboxing'... put it on a turntable and let's see it spin! Away from home. No record player!

I wonder if the imminent lockdown happening in UK, will that somehow impact on the release date of the next vinyl?

I wonder if the imminent lockdown happening in UK, will that somehow impact on the release date of the next vinyl? I would imagine it depends on how far in to the production process they are. The retail shops will still be open so if the records were good to go and just sitting in boxes then it's possible they could still be on sale... if they are mid-production when the UK lockdown (Pt 2) commences, then I'd expect a delay.

I don’t think it will have any effect, except maybe at the ASDA Home stores.
At the time of posting, we’ve yet to have the official announcement, but the expectation is manufacturing and construction will be encouraged to continue, which addresses the production of the vinyl. ASDA is a supermarket, so deemed an essential place to keep open, and we will not be having non-essential aisles restricted, unlike in Wales. This includes books, CDs, vinyls, DVDs, cookware, etc.
The argument is whether people feel safe to visit or not. But really that’s just one of those things. Didn’t ASDA stock Fanfare for the Common Men online? Maybe Echoes of Extinction will be the same. We don’t even know if there will be more units produced than the others.

Echos of Extinction Vinyl Delay
IME LORD VICTORIOUS UPDATE! Due to the ongoing UK restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, ASDA and Demon Records, in agreement with BBC Studios and Big Finish Productions, have decided to postpone the release of Doctor Who - Time Lord Victorious: Echoes of Extinction. The limited edition vinyl LP audio adventure was originally due in selected ASDA stores from 27 November 2020, with the digital download available from the Big Finish website one week later. In light of the UK government advice against the sale of non-essential items, the release date has now been rescheduled to early February 2021.

Does anyone actually open these up and play them? Yes, of course. I know some people don't play their records but I play all of my Big Finish LP's... I wouldn't buy them otherwise.
