Wow.. I go out to go to an event for a few hours and I get all these notifications waiting for me LOLZ..
Remember what happened on the original forum? BBC basically ended it from what I can recall- there's the correlation- I am just as big a fanboy as the next person and have been for nearly 40 years, I will always click on spoilers and pics etc. Having said that (tangent) they must get secretly both annoyed AND heartened at the ferociousness of the fandom. That is all :-)

Do you guys think a production team would ever pull the license from Big Finish ? What would have to happen for that ?
BF would have do something BAD.
Concievably, the licence might be rethought if 'reliable' people like Jason or Nick were no longer running the company; or - gulp - if they started running out of actors to the point the BBC no longer saw it as worthwhile.
On other hand, you might have a situation as with when Virgin lost the books licence, or when the Spielburg negotations delayed "The Ghosts of N-Space" from being broadcast - money getting in the way.

Can u imagine if the powers that be got fed up with the leaks and the great detective work that goes on here .. and cancelled this audio... HHMM. Nope. I can’t imagine that at all.

Then when the license gets pulled all those scriptwriters could turn to those non BBC owned properties like Dark Shadows and conquer the audio waves with it I remember being really gutted when the return of Burke Devlin was announced by someone else before Davy and Joe were ready to announce it.

I remember being really gutted when the return of Burke Devlin was announced by someone else before Davy and Joe were ready to announce it. In this day and age unless like myself you shut down the internet occasionally and don’t surf too much stay of Twitter and Facebook and buy a dumb phone lol you can avoid spoilers.I manage it quite well but to be quite honest those kind of things just don’t phase me anymore. I daily come into contact with people who say don’t tell anyone. Before the day is done they’ve told everyone🤪 it’s human nature Well, I admit I am one of the weird people who actually like to be spoilered.
So I make no special effort to avoid. Years back I went to the cinema watching "the 6th sense" knowing the twist at the end and I think I enjoyed the movie even more for it.
And yes, I also watched that leaked 11th season clip a while back, although it did not really thrill me at that time (but also did not turn me away... more or less left me indifferent)- tbh that leaked clip was not the most exciting bit they could have picked, was it?

I think I just reached a point in life that it is unimportant to get upset at trifles. It’s only a tv show. I get upset at real stuff injustice inhumanity and the glorification of nasty characters Negan in walking Dead for instance. Sigh. After a truly awful day at work (not because of me but because of the abominable treatment of a collegue) I wholeheartedly agree.

It's not sure a leak is really spoilage, I tend to get just as excited all over again when these things are officially confirmed. Also, I'm taking a wild guess that they probably wouldn't leave things like that up on the site for very long before announcing them, so hopefully it might be reasonable that official word might be on the way?

You were doing so well until you included a fictional comic book character in your example of something that upsets you, as opposed to "trifles"!
It's only comic! (...or a TV show!)

I would imagine the people who worked on this Tennant boxset feel the same.

i remember we had a previous discussion on role models were people do indeed take fictional characters as role models. I suppose this isn't the time to say that I think the Dalek Supreme is a good guy, but just a little bit misunderstood, so?

As we were saying elsewere earlier, if Nick was willing to get narky on Twitter at Georgia for blowing the news of her set - and she's the star - then it's baffling to see that people can't see why it would be frustrating at best to have the announcement taken away from the team prepping it. If he'd go after her, imagine the words for Joe Public You can avoid, say, the Jodie clip by not clicking a vid. You can't avoid a pic on facebook that just comes up on your feed. It's not whether it's a spoiler or not...it's just sad to nick someone's big news. Some of BF's biggest ever announcements - like John Hurt joining - were masterful teases and the guessing was part of the buildup when BF said there was something coming and gave a hint or a pic. When there's a rogue URL or someones CV updated in advance...that's just not got the same impact. And it's why I think things like the weeks long teases don't happen as much now.

On the other hand, when talking about this release... we had already known for a while that another Tennant/ Tate release was coming. The only thing that was revealed here was a picture that may or may not be the final artwork.
And I got excited non-the-less and will most likely buy it.
I think this is what the other side of this arguement on this forum was saying- that we are such loyal fans on this forum that we even get excited learning about it this way.
But I agree that learning it via Facebook in the way you describe would be a bit of a downer. I guess I am lucky I am not a frequent Facebook subscriber and not in any groups (apart from local clubs and activities).

No, that's not true. We learned that Sylvia would be joining them for the first time and that Wilf would be appearing in a Big Finish for the first time.
