To be fair to you - BF and the BBC both give away a bit too much for me at times in their PR. The Beeb have already revealed - as have DWM - something BIG for Ep 12 which I think is nuts.... but vaguely reminiscent titles are still OK to be non-spoilery I think. I agree that sometimes too much is given away. I wasn't upset by the Seventh Doctor thing in Doom Coalition and The Last Adventure trailers. But sometimes, Big Finish makes the assumption, in doing the extras, that anyone listening to a release has heard what came before, and I have had some surprises spoiled for me in that way. Also, for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary television special that was shown in theatres, there were so many advance clips revealed that were actually part of the episode, that some of it felt a bit anticlimactic to me when I actually saw the clips in the context of the episode. So I'm not as hot to watch trailers as I used to be, and I avoid speculation thread more than I used to. They (and others) really should have a trailer editor, so as to not give away stuff while still enticing people in. Perhaps they do, they're not doing it very well then! It's still better than years ago where you'd watch a trailer and find that some scenes were filmed for the trailer and had nothing to do with the film.

Take a leaf out of the CW's advertising for Arrow et al, I have NO idea what is coming up for the finale, even allowing for reveals like the LOT material and John Constantine. The CW are great with the marketing and advertising. Sometimes the promotional synopses can be a bit long though, and the newer shows including a "my name is retcon and here's what you've obviously forgotten so here's the premise of the show again!" is a pain I always skip.

Agents of Chaos? Black Guardian story? Maybe the war gets so Big the Guardians step in and get stomped by the Daleks or the Time Lords. Alternatively, it's set on Earth in the sixties and War meets the agents of secret organisation CONTROL because the Dalesk have been supplying KAOS.

Cool cover. Hope they get a good mix of stories in there. Does anyone else find it weird that we're getting two War Doctor Box-sets before even the second Doom Coalition is being released?

Maybe it's the scheduling gods, Hurt had a few weeks free and BF bulk recorded, while McGann hasn't been free enough to do any more than a few stories.

While I'm delighted that we are getting them so soon they were probably recorded in an entire block due to John Hurt's (at the time) ill health and he, like the much missed, but sadly not as fortunate, Mary Tamm, wanted to get them done while he could. Fortunately he has been given a second chance.

I'm not sure if this was the best move by Big Finish - I understand they want a lot of hype for this series and it's the launch of the revival Doctors at Big Finish, but this feels far too much of a reveal, rather then the episodes titles coming out in October, even if it does add a layer of whether or new the new companion will feature in these tales in whatever capacity.

It's fantastic actually but I'm curious about the gap between War Doctor 2 and 3. What's that all about I wonder?

I think that's just a return to normal scheduling after the rush job of these first two.

I seriously can't see anything in there that is a spoiling type of reveal. And they have to do something to persuade people to buy. I can understand that i you buy everything anyway you might want to go into things blind, but you could always stay away from the product pages if you've already pre-ordered.

It would be fun to have a trilogy of audios centered around the War Doctor interrupting key moments on TV. Have the War Doctor interrupt the 4th Doctor's 'Do I Have The Right?', the 7th Doctor destroying Skaro in Remembrance of the Daleks, the 10th Doctor telling the Master to 'get out of the way' in The End of Time...

Wise words I just don't think this series needs the extra hype, however. The War Doctor's era will become somewhat known - I just don't feel it needs the extra push.

So ... David Warner, John Hurt and Jacqueline Pearce? Together? Phew. It's just as well I've pre-ordered this! And the trailer sounds amazing
