BTW this is why I didn't opt to name those simply superb sleuths of the supernatural and sinister:
We were asked for our 'best feel good series'.
All of J&L's adventures which I've heard so far (series 1-4, 13-14, most of the single-disc ones) range from the amazingly excellent to the utterly brilliant, however they aren't all relaxing 'feel good' stories by any means.
Season 2 (for example) is amazingly dark in places and Season 13 too - and I love it when our delightful detecting duo demonstrate dashing Doctor-esque derring-do, defeating devilish duplicity and dastardly destruction! But those episodes are gripping and exciting rather than relaxing and 'feel good'.
So for an overall feel good time ("Wey hey, you saucy monkey!" "Oh give it a rest Iris!") across whole sets and series, it's Iris and her sardonic furry friend for me. With nibbles.
Even at the dramatic /dark stories the team do induce a feel good factor . You know they are a must listen and that you will enjoy the stories. The banter between the two is excellent. Good acting gives me the feel goods lolš

This one might sound a bit strange, but Iām going to also nominate Blakeās 7... The reason being that, whenever I hear the opening title music, I know Iām going to get either a wonderful ensemble story, or a pithy, tight character piece. Either way, Iāve never been disappointed by this range. I adore all the characters and the wonderful actors who have brought them to life for our listening pleasure! Yes feel good takes into account not just laughs but great story telling and acting.I play Dark Shadows The Flip Side and I just love the story the acting the finale I know I can switch it on and just enjoy.

Totally get where you're coming from with this. "Feel good" means a similar thing to me: it's a story where I don't have to make excuses for a performance or a production decision or a dud line, just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Outside of Doctor Who... I'd say Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. When it first came out, I decided to just take a lazy day in the garden with the cats. No expectations, no responsibilities, just a nice romp through the 2060s with David Graham as guide and it delivered on that in spades. I don't think I'd ever be able to track down the original books written by John W. Jennison (what a name!), so the range was a nice and unexpected bit of feel-good fuzzies. ^_^

Hmm... with me it really depends. I listen to my favorite main range stories and in general to stories that make me feel warm and cozy. Sometimes you just need something light and funny to lift you up.
Good example- with all my stress at work I had another panic attack last night at 4am and needed to calm down... I decided to listen to "Planet of the Ogrons", because that is funny, light hearted and always makes me smile. And it indeed did the trick. Thank you Big Finish!!
So yeah, it is not a specific range or even box set, it is just certain stories among them that I pick.
What I certainly would NOT listen to while stressed is the War Master box set. That is more like the polar opposite. Shudder.

The Marian Conspiracy and Doctor Who and the Pirates are the two stories that always cheer me up when I've had a rough day. There's something about that dynamic between Ol'Sixie and Evelyn that has never been matched anywhere else and I think those two stories really exemplify that. They're just the sort of stories I feel like sitting down to with a warm cup of hot chocolate.

Wonderfully true to the original.
Oh, and Terrahawks of course.

I need to scoop up Terrahawks in a bundle soon. It's in serious need of a revisit and I'd genuinely love to see what BF has done with it. Oh, it was just like dropping in on a second season I didn't know existed. These would have made excellent movies and bringing in a blend of old and new was just inspired. It's a funny bit of coincidence, but I spent ages searching for the out-of-print Thunderbirds tie-in books written by Jennison ( Ring of Fire, Operation: Asteroids, et al.). Searching high and low. I've got them all now, two just by serendipity, and I remember thinking that it'd be great to try and find at least some the Scarlet stories. Then, Big Finish came out with the announcement for the range and I didn't have to. Is that perfect timing or what?

I still have so many yet to listen to for the first time, so I haven't gone back to many releases yet . . .
But the two ranges I rate as consistently the best overall for brightness, humor, or just a good warm fuzzy feeling are
