I can post in Firefox, but only create threads in Chrome.

I will check and see what happens, what OS are you using and revision of the browser as well. I will post back the results. If there is an issue I will ask Pro-boards support.

Well, I did respond. But then my post disappeared. And another post.. well, my quote of another post was there, but not the additional text. Let's see what happens to *this* post overnight....
(And it's not as if I said anything that would have been moderated away! Not unless somebody here really hates certain internet browsers!!!)

We definitely haven't moderated any if your posts (and would have informed you if we had). Keep an eye on it and let us know if it happens again. Cheers Tony

(And it's not as if I said anything that would have been moderated away! Not unless somebody here really hates certain internet browsers!!!) I've had this experience a couple of times, it's definitely not something the moderation team are doing, we've to my memory only moderated a 3 or 4 posts since we started. I believe the problem (for me) is down to me pressing the wrong buttons, and since I've been more careful about which button I'm pressing, I have not had a repeat of the issue, however I am not 100% that the reason, and currently am reserving judgement.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but it will do.
Is anyone else having trouble logging in on their account using a computer? I'm having to use my phone because the website won't load anything after I press he continue button having put in my username and password - it just sits there, 'loading'...
EDIT: It's saying 'Invalid request token/possible request forgery (error 1). If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again'.
I've tried this and it still doesn't work.

The loading error, is because of broken adverts which proboards use. Nothing you can do except hit refresh until Proboards present a different advert, you could use an adblocker, but then Proboards bugs you not to.

As it is, we are still using the free boards and because of that we are shackled by ads. Chrome is one way to get round the limitations Cheers Tony

Changing browser changes your cookies, or at least gets a set of new ones. With a set of new cookies, for the most part most advertisers know little about you. When little is known about you, you get a collection of generic adverts, however if your using a browser you normally use the advertisers know quite a lot about you, and what might interest you and the adverts you get are targeted at you.
Swapping to Chrome doesn't "fix" the problem, it just means your not being sent the broken adverts, as time passes, if you stick with Chrome you will become known again, and the targeted ads will come back.
Although it is possible the broken ads are only broken on some web browsers, Chrome (at least used to be) one the most robust browsers out there and IE the least.

I view the forum on Firefox on my laptop, on Chrome on my phone, and on a mobile browser called Atomic web on my iPad that I don't think is being updated anymore. I don't have problems on any of them.
My only complaint is that when I click on the "New posts" icon, the forum doesn't always remember where I last read, which is really annoying. I don't know if that would be better if I viewed the forum on the same browser across all my devices. That would be possible on my laptop and phone, but not on my iPad, as my iPad is too old to be compatible with existing versions of Firefox and Chrome.
