It's pretty damn bleak isn't it? Poor Phyllis. There’s a story there for you Rob,innocent did nothing wrong just wrong time and place.I do remember her fate affected me back when i first saw it alas i wiki’d Her and nothing.I think if i had not went overseas to work i would have expected a resolution for her .But if someone was to go back in time show her fate and send her forward in time to stop it from ever occurring... or just a spirit to trouble the future residents

A spirit haunting a chalk board 😂i hate the sound of chalk on a slate or a blackboard The sound of a metal glove on a chalkboard is worse. The Pink Panther Strikes Again traumatised me as a child.

I think, though this might be the 1990s revival rather than the original series, but there's a question of if Phyllis would have acted enough like Victoria to end up with the same fate before Vicki switched things around. I'd be happy to hear if Big Finish wanted things to go a different way for Phyllis. They did a good job of finally explaining how that whole knowing both the past timeline and the present one works internally via Hallie's varied memories.

I'd be happy to hear if Big Finish wanted things to go a different way for Phyllis. They did a good job of finally explaining how that whole knowing both the past timeline and the present one works internally via Hallie's varied memories. Events would have ended up similar enough, Angelique uses the governess as a scapegoat and Phyllis is hung as a witch. Her activities attracted enough attention and Natalie had independently come to the conclusion of witchcraft. As Abigail isn’t fixated on Vicki she might be the one to cry witch and call in Rev Trask, with Angelique deciding newly arrived Phyllis a convenient scapegoat. Out of concern Naomi tries to defend Phyllis but it goes to witch trial where she’s convicted.
