Why I love The Black Hole: - The concept and storyline
- Features Victoria (Deborah Watling) and Rufus Hound (the Monk)
- Narration done in third person, for a change, by David Warner
- References Season 6B

The narration is always third person in the Early Adventures. However this is the first time it’s not done by the companion actors, and the only time this is so as of 4.4 The Wreck of the World. Indeed, David Warner doesn’t play any characters in the story, just does the narration.

It's out there for anyone who reads the thread and didn't know beforehand. This tidbit along with the twists the story takes make it feel bigger, more important.

Really enjoyed revisiting this one post the now explicit 6B stories being released. It feels much like a 60’s Who story, but it draws a lot of inspiration from the more modern Who conventions of time travel. David Warner’s narration is lovely, and he adds a more mysterious air to the proceedings. Rufus Hound is just the best in my opinion, and I adore the Monk in general, so it’s always a joy to hear him as well. As for the story, I really enjoyed the idea of titular black hole, and I enjoyed to time travel used in part three, though I do think the last part becomes a little too noise over cover problem solving, but that’s a minor quibble.
