Fingers crossed, but it's being reported that Warners are shopping "Coyote vs Acme" round the streaming services.
Widespread rumours this weekend that Warners have rejected all bids.

It's all good, 'seems to be some transference from my shoe (somehow) and has mostly come off. I once had to walk through some flood water to get home and my feet turned GREEN!
After a brief 'have I picked up Sea Devil DNA' moment I realised the bottom of my socks were also now green and the insoles of my shoes were now only a very pale shade of their former green selves. The good news was that after scrubbing, washing and drying, my feet, the socks and even the shoes were as good as new. I remain to this day 0% Earth Reptile and 100% planet-usurping Ape!
I can't remember all of the details of it, but when I was 16-odd the edge of one of my fingernails turned green for some reason. Got it looked at, got something for it, and it was fine a while later... Honestly can't remember what it was, or what caused it.

So just before my metal concert tonight we had a school catch up with the teacher (as we are in week 3 of the new school year). 1/2 the parents didn't bother to show up which is strange. Was a 35 minute presentation - as wife is a teacher she confirmed it is a solid curriculum that covers all the bases required. The teacher is a 1st year teacher, she has lived in Australia for 10 years, she started her teaching degree in her home country of Germany.. then finished her Uni degree in Australia.. Naturally I immediately, at the end of the presentation, walked up to her and started a conversation about "The Three Investigators" book series and audio books.. She was surprised I knew about them, I told her they were 1 of my jams along with Doctor Who, Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew etc etc etc from the early to mid 80's.. We then started talking about "The Three Investigators" German audio books. she immediately admitted she listens to the audios in her car and at home to help her fall asleep. We made an instant connection - she is aware of Junior talking random German words in class (mummy has a German background).

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Oh I channeled you in the conversation- she was SO surprised I knew about them - she actually whispered to Kate and me (I shouldn't be saying this but "legally" I shouldn't play these stories in the classroom).. I immediately said "USB me up I got your hook up!". She mentioned she knew something was up when she could hear Mark Jnr counting to 10 in German constantly LOLZ Afterwards Kate said "why do you have to try to convert everyone to audio stories?". My answer was "YES". LOLZ

'Is that us, Jupe?' 'Indubitably. Our fame has spread into Europe!' 'Wow. But how do you say 'Red Gate Rover' in German?' Boringly, red Gate Rover is just Rotes Tor. But since the German authors have expandied the Universe, added Tons of character Development and they have now, in the expanded universe, more than 500 books and Audioplays, we also got new secret Passages like the Cold Gate which you enter through an old fridge. Germans live and breathe this. Live Shows Break Word Records, filling Stadia with thousands of People. And These are live audioplays. The actors who have done this for 45 years now stand in Front of 10000 People, reading their Text. From a sheet. Sorry, typing this in bed on iPad. German auto correct is a pain. Too tired to get up and type properly on laptop.

I had a snow day today and didn't have to go to work! Must be nice, no such thing as a snow day for me - if the weather is bad enough that we can't get to the office, then it is work from home. Thankfully I now have a home office.

How did it get such a grip on the imagination in Germany, I doubt that British kids have even heard of the series these days.
More than 500 stories!!! I think I read 17 or 18 back in the 70s but they were the original 18. And I still remember who had which colour chalk (hence, for the 99%+ of forum members who haven't got a clue what I'm on about the three question marks in white, blue and green.) I expect now they use smartphones; back in my day they left secret signs in chalk!

Made ( and not )
40 years since 'Bolero'. I remember exactly where I was and watching it (on TV) that evening, it was one of those sporting moments that genuinely stopped the nation.
It was incredible, and incidentally proved that most British people can hold their breath for 4 minutes 28 seconds.
But 40 years ago! 40 !!

I expect now they use smartphones; back in my day they left secret signs in chalk! The reason for the success was the audio dramas. On a fateful day in 1978, this lady producer of kid's audioplays was thinking about which youth detective series to adapt for audio, after she had done German fairy tales and some other German adventure stuff. She was thinking about the Hardy Boys first (which we in Germany have never heard of, they never made it here), but then this lady producer decided "Nah, the Hardy Boys are just not it, their stories are too samey, and it is missing the oompf! and the mystery element and the characters are also not unique enough!" Then by accident, someone showed her this cool youth detective series which was endorsed by Alfred Hitchcock. Hitchcock was, and is still, IMMENSELY popular in Germany.
So they started this audio drama series, thinking it would be cancelled after 10-20 episodes. Well, 45 years later, the same actors are still performing, and performing live, there have been several spin-offs and the whole thing became part of the German DNA.
The series slowly developed into modern ages. It is sooo cool to listen to the audios and slowly witness the steady evolution of technology (telephone, fax, the first computers, the first mobiles.....). It really like watching history unfold.
They now use modern technology, but they still go back to the old chalk marks if necessary. All flows organically.
The characters also got some serious development.
If this ever stopped, this would be a MAJOR blow to the German psyche, since more than half of our population (all ages!) use the audios to fall asleep. The actors were once asked who comes to queue for the autograph sessions. "Well, all kinds of people. We have students, doctors, housewifes, train conductors and the Federal Minister of Defense."
I am such a fan, when I was in NZ, I got all the original English books in soft and hardcover editions. They are one of my greatest treasures, these old and dusty books would be worth more than 1000 Euro on the German market!
EDIT- and in Germany, they switched the colors of the chalk. Jupe is white, Peter is blue and Bob is red. The omited the green from the German version.

Thanks very much for explaining all that, it's great seeing how some characters I enjoyed about 50 years ago are still going strong! Disappointed they changed the colour of Bob's chalk though, what is the world coming to!
I've definitely got some of the old paperbacks - ( somewhere, next to 'The Tenth Planet Episode 4' and the complete film print of 'Marco Polo' for all I know, I've not been that deep into the archives/junk for many years ) but they weren't first editions or the later and no doubt rarer titles so probably not worth digging them out.
This has been a trip down memory lane to the Jones' Junkyard I never expected. The fun that DU brings!
