We have new pix of Tom Baker out and about on his morning walk in the village he lives in. Wearing a long scarf too OMG!. The people have an unspoken code- they do not advertise where exactly they live, all to protect Tom.  Lovely to hear that Tom is well looked after in his community and glad to hear he is still out and about at his age

(Positive Post).. So a couple weeks ago I was asked if I would be interested in going offsite to 1 of the 8 sites and conduct a presentation on 1 of my levels of (just!) expertise. I immediately said I would greatly enjoy doing so- we booked a time. It so happened to be yesterday at a site literally 3 streets from my house, a 5 minute drive away. I prepped with my notes, diagrams, anecodotes etc, leaving plenty of space for the room to jump in with questions.. Easily 10 questions in my 50 minute presentation. One question I had to follow up on as it was a tricky complicated one and I wanted to get my Legalese correct. I said my goodbyes and went to my office in the city and that was that, or so I thought. A few hours later my Manager receives an email from that site Manager which was logged in our Intranet : "Shane visited our site this morning and presented at our team training hour long block. His preparation, information, relaxed and easy to understand delivery style plus his insights were very well presented. We all enjoyed his visit and all learnt a lot of information. I personally was proud of my team in taking notation and throwing out a plethora of questions. Thank you for allowing Shane to spend time with us. I would highly recommend that Shane visit all sites Australia wide and provide them with these insights and excellent information. Have a great afternoon, Amanda" Was Not expected but graciously accepted. It must be because it's a leap year and an extra day this month, that makes 3 unexpected compliments, 1 from a higher up Manager with easily 30 years experience and 2 from members of the public. This pretty much means in our monthly Aust wide online meeting which is 12th March not 5th, the focus will be all over me. DOH! Feeling really Positive at the moment.. To sort of quote Jefferson Starship for the month of February : "Nothing's gonna stop us now" LOLZ |

So today I got a "two week suspension without pay" because I was supposedly rude to a customer. The reality is that the customer was rude to me, but whatever. Management was looking for any excuse to "punish" me because I dared to complain about them jerking me around with their bad scheduling. Hell, the dumbasses even put that into the paperwork as one of my 'points' against me. The only reason they didn't fire me outright is because I am the best damn employee they have and they are short staffed as it is. They're hoping that I'll come back with my tail between my legs in two weeks and be a good little lap dog. But not even two hours before all this I had gotten a call for a job interview next Monday, so the joke's on them. Even if I don't get/take the other job I will be doubling down on the job hunting stuff now that I have the free time to do so. Plus I can still make some money on the side with doordash so I won't have to dip into my savings too much hopefully. Meanwhile they are even more short staffed than before and here's hoping that they get slammed with calls and texts for the next two weeks straight.
And to think, had they just kept me on chat to begin with and gotten someone else for the phones instead or hired new people like they should then they wouldn't be struggling right now.

WOW- that's messed up . Double fingers crossed for you..! Oh it's not even the tip of the iceberg, I could rant for hours about the mismanagement and discrimination that goes on at that place, but sadly TN doesn't have the labor laws that your country does so there's little one can do. Other than to hopefully find a new and better job. |

Today, since I didn't have to go into work I ran bunch of errands and managed to negotiate my internet and phone bill down to a third of what I was originally paying. But boy did it take forever to get it done. Such an unnecessary hassle.
Though I did get a new phone out of the deal.

Doing some quick random Who maths.. Between my good mate Timelord007, another mate on this forum, another mate who has never been on this forum and myself.. 3 Aussies and 1 UK'er.. We have met Doctors 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, & 12 (some multiple times).. Not even going to count all the companions from 2nd Dr era till now.. "Missy" and "Davros" aren't companions so I will add them to the list.. Maths was fun for a change LOLZ |

We have met Doctors 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, & 12 (some multiple times).. Not even going to count all the companions from 2nd Dr era till now.. "Missy" and "Davros" aren't companions so I will add them to the list..
