Things have been, and will continue to be quite hectic here. Harper and I went and moved Evan out of his Philadephia apartment last weekend. It was another disgustingly hot day. We were able to fit all of his things in our two cars, then go to my grand-niece's 1st birthday party in Delaware, and then drive the 2 hours home in torrential rain. It was exhausting. We had the week to get Evan ready for school. I have no idea if we, in fact, have done that. On Friday the drain pipe that carries waste water form our kitchen sink and dishwasher to the sewer burst. So I have not been able to use my kitchen sink since Friday. Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow. This morning I woke up extremely and disgustingly early to take both my kids to the airport before my 12 hour work day. They flew up to Maine to see their grandmother, and their father is heading there on Saturday. They fly back on Friday, and then on Saturday I fly with Evan to LA to bring him to his new school. It will be quite an emotional trip for me. I will get back on Wednesday, and then I leave for LI Who that Friday. Whew! It's a lot.
Fun times !!
Fingers crossed a certain guest at Li Who Convention doesn't suddenly cancel because "reasons" :

Right. I was fed up with not having any real social contacts here where I live and no real social interaction at work. I have now started a group at work for going out for casual dinners and cinema. Our small town as a fantastic sushi place, so that was top of the list. So next Monday is sushi night! very much looking forward to this.

One of the frustrations of being an Asterix fan is that there have been, over the years, tribute volumes put together by other cartoonists and artists that haven't been translated into English. Every other language under the sun, but not English. But the new American publisher *is* releasing one volume next month. OK, it's the American English version, but let's not quibble. bleedingcool.com/comics/jim-lee-frank-cho-milo-manara-kaare-andrews-on-65-years-of-asterix/One of the frustrations of being a fan of crossovers is that although "Crossovers Expanded Volume 3" has been released, the shipping to the UK is twice the price of the book (and a bit more). I want me my chronology! meteorhousepress.com/crossovers-expanded-3/

Old website and app are back!! Believe or not, I've not gone on either the site nor the app this entire time. I've only heard about the change in passing on here. That's how fast it's came and went.

The ticket I bought to see Taylor Swift in London from Viagogo came through on Tuesday (from Ticketmaster) so, thankfully, it looks like I will definitely be seeing her and Paramore tomorrow... Only 'niggling' concern(s) is that they're asking for tickets via the app only, and I can't get it to work on my home WiFi (though did on station WiFi earlier) and they seem to have a long list of reasons why people might be turned away... Including having a bag larger than an A4 sheet of paper... Joy. She's due to finish about 10.15, and it's apparently going to take about an hour to get back to London Waterloo, so it looks like I might need to leave promptly if I'm going to push through the queues to make sure that I am on (at least) the last train home at just before midnight. (It's not until 1pm, but I do have work the next day, and, whilst apparently £50, don't really want to have to book a hotel half-way home if I don't make that one). I mean, I'm looking forward to seeing her, of course I am, but I'm an anxious soul.

The latest was last year on a week night.. They hit the stage at 1AM.. That was a fun day at work after!

I'm normally up pretty late most evenings (it's 3.35am here at the moment), but no, I doubt I'd ever go to something starting at 1... (The fact that I don't drive is neither here nor there. )

I'm just one of those people who thinks that we don't need to rely on our phones for *everything*... Me, a cynic? Pff

Once they had to just re-scan my phone, last time I had to go to the actual box office and they printed a ticket. My phone's kind of old, so maybe that's why? anyway I hope it goes Ok for you!

Reminds me of the first time the Florida Marlins baseball team won the World Series. We went to game 7. Which went into extra innings. And of course, we stayed on after to celebrate with other fans. Then there was the traffic getting out. By the time we got home, the next morning's newspaper had been delivered with news of the Marlins' win on the front page. And then we all went to work or school as applicable.

It is my 30th birthday. I am now an elder millenial. Happy birthday. And I don't think that's how it works. Elder milennials are generally closer to age 40. So unless you mistyped, you are a younger milennial.
