This article. Oh, the nostalgia. Yes, I am old enough to have used VHS tapes. I have many memories of arguing with my sisters about what to rent, and teachers wheeling the TV and VHS (sometimes DVD player) into the room. The tape about McDonald's marketing stands out, as do the health tapes obviously made in Australia in the 90's. The rewinding I definitely remember. How old do you think you have to be to remember VHS tapes? My kids remember them and they are in their 20s. Which is hardly old and probably younger than a fair number of people on this forum. My dad was still playing his 8-Track tapes long after they were off the shelves. When I was working in radio we kept all our station positioners and stinger music on CART which is pretty much an 8-Track. Reel-to-reel went out of style just a little before my time, but they were still used in broadcasting so I am very familiar with that format as well. Not something many in my age bracket can say.

Maybe cause I'm a nerd, but I decided to look up VHSes. Last VHS in the US was released 2007, it was Eragon. I can certainly remember using VHS up into the 2000s.
I have nothing else useful to add.

We had Betamax but my friend had Philips Video 2000 - I remember the "Tape Wars ..."
Cheers

Eight tracks! That's something I haven't seen in decades! It was a very short lived format.

It looks like Arrow has finally dropped the "My name is Oliver Queen, and I spend five years on a hellish island" intro. Finally, the CW credits it's audience with the ability to retain the basic premise. Can The Flash please to this too?

Half and half. Donald Trump once again displays an astonishingly consistent ability to put his put solely in his mouth. I'm glad I don't live in America, but the politicians here aren't much better. Our PM is wasting at least $26 million on referendums he will no doubt ignore about changing the country's flag, while refusing to let any details about a potentially damaging trade deal out to the public. Talk about a lack of priorities. Instead of voting for a new flag design I chucked the referendum where it belongs: the trash. Why can't we have competent politicians anymore?

You can have Trump if you want.

Paul Henry was no stranger to controversy himself. How about Garth Morgan and his anti-cat crusade?

I'm still a teenager and had them until 2005/06-ish. Didn't start getting DVDs until around 2002 (and Blu-Rays in 2011).

It would be one thing if he wasn't doing so inexplicably well in the polls, but it is just scary how many people seem to agree with him. Apart from being an egotistical idiot, Trump is just a terrible person. Not that his fellow Republican candidates are much better. My mom worked with Trump a couple of times before I was born, and she tells some pretty nasty stories about him.

I can guarantee there are a large number of people who refuse to hear anything said against the Republicans or Trump (these are likely the people most vocal against the Democrats). There's a reason the Simpsons portrays the Republican party basing it's Springfield branch in a stereotypical haunted castles (complete with lightning flashes when the exterior is in the frame), and includes among it's members Mr Burns (regularly chairing the meeting), the Rich Texan (the guy always shooting into the air), Dracula and Krusty the Klown. In one episode they put Sideshow Bob up to run for Mayor! He was nominated by a right-wing radio shock jock, who to no-one's surprise is a member of the Republican party. On the flip side, the Democratic branch is shown to be far less competent, though is shown far less often because there's more mileage in depicting evil Republicans.

Batman Vs Superman trailer 2, "DO NOT WATCH THE LAST 30 SECONDS"
Can these movie studios stop giving away the plot twists of the movie, some of us moviegoers like to be surprised.
Overall a interesting trailer but I'd stop watching after Superman says "what have you done".

Maybe with the Internet age they feel like there is no point to leave surprises as surprises anymore.

You don't really need to watch the trailer for the spoiler - the name telegraphs where they are going, though I share your annoyance.
Sadly I have yet to enjoy any of the Superman movies and frankly the choice of Ben Affleck as Batman does nothing to make me want to see this movie.

I find it odd, Ben Affleck as Batman is the only reason I'm even thinking of seeing this movie. I did not enjoy Man of Steel, at all.

Well, Mayor Quimby's a democrat, but he's a corrupt womanizing idiot.
