Currently looking at local martial arts schools around the area with the wife for our lil boy. There's 2 so far a Karate school and a Tae Kwan Do.. I am just a bit concerned as he isn't 5 yet- I want his focus to be a bit better than it is now. I started at aged 10 and did a good 2 years before the arthritis and the growth spurt kicked in and I had to stop all my sports.

A remarkable blue object has been found buried in the lava at Pompeii. They say it's a ceremonial chariot (and that would be interesting enough) but I've heard 'The Fires of Vulcan' and I think it's just the top section of something even more remarkable...  {Spoiler}  {Spoiler} Is it lying on it's side?  And you cannot see the question mark handle of that umbrella very well....
I absolutely love Pompeii. Even more so after we did a school trip there with our Catholic religion studies teacher.
He was a remarkable, wise and very funny guy and we spend several hours running through the streets of Pompeii in search for the brothel, because it had such "impressive murals". So we had our religion teacher asking EVERY guide he saw for the brothel.... (yes, as unlikely as it seems, I did indeed major in Catholic religious studies in my last year at school, 100% thanks to that one teacher)

Well two very good things happened today: First my copy of The Target Storybook came in which is always a plus to have something to read, and second I might be getting the first dose of the vaccine this Thursday.

This was the first weekend since (I think) October that I've had off from work... Nice, it's been nice.  I've marathoned the original 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' trilogy and a couple of TV crossovers, which I enjoyed and walked into town for a bit on both days, listening to a 'Superman' radio serial from the 1940s. Tomorrow is the only day this week that I'll be going in (for 4hrs overtime) before attending an online BBC2 stand-up recording session, which I'm looking forward to. In February I've apparently spent just over 68-and-a-quarter hours marathoning things, which is technically terrifying (though it does apparently average out at just under two-and-a-half hours each, which makes it less scary). Not that I've seen an episode in full yet (I'm saving it until the finale airs on Friday), but yes, yes, Wandavision does seem relatable... |

Same with 2 of the "Home Improvement" kids LOL! |

Buying a theatre programme online for £3 because it features Christopher Reeve when he 'visited' one of your locals...
This is why I shouldn't be allowed to look at Ebay at 2 o'clock in the morning.
By pure co-incidence, the run ended 37 years ago today.
EDIT: 'Today I Learnt' that Kate O'Mara and Naoko Mori spent Christmas 1999 there as well in Aladdin. (Shrugs) Who knew?

Examining at my dance card for the year... It looks like I'm doing tutoring, team(s?) management, editing, writing and some casual jobs that have come up on the side.
After the concrete cell at the bottom of the ocean that was 2020, it feels nice to be able to (re)connect with people and projects. The team are raring to go for 2021's new status quo (with a wonderful sense of confidence). The tutoring itself is thrilling, as hearing some of the students' stories is this lovely moment of: "Oh! Oh, I remember that! I remember being exactly there, on that book/story, with that puzzle to solve." All in all, it's pretty exciting. Everything delayed has clicked back on again.

definitely not made my day, a friend dropped dead last night while out walking/jogging.......he was only 28!
tipped me over the edge a bit today, the dark clouds gathering in my head.........
not so much losing him, but the shock/turmoil the family is facing, police inquiry, postmoretum, mortgage n house sale problem.......and not to mention how awful the police have treated them.......

I know that feeling of shock only too well, all i can say is remember how a person lived not how they died, the police class sudden death suspicious until foul play can be ruled out via there investigation, although the experience is very unpleasant as when my name died suddenly we experienced a similar experience.
