Moved into my new apartment and started my new job. First time being on my own and it's definitely weird working somewhere where I'm perhaps the dumbest person in the room (due to inexperience), but I'm really enjoying it both. The only downside is I get paid on a weird schedule (the 1st and 15th of every month so I won't get my first paycheck until July 1).

Barring a couple of customers, work today and yesterday went by ok enough, but I am certainly glad not to be going in tomorrow...
-Got 'jokingly' called a thief (he said that he'd done contactless because, I think, he didn't want me to see his pin. After a long, unimpressed, look he said that it was meant to be a joke, but obviously wasn't funny... Obviously.) someone kept reaching round the 'protection' screen to tap his card. After the fourth time he'd done it (three for contactless and another for his rewards card, for some reason) I had to tactfully point him in the direction of the sign about a four from his face politely asking him to 'respect colleague safety' and not to reach round the screen. Needless to say he didn't say anything and left.
Whilst I was putting the 'SmartShop' scanners out this morning, someone literally reached over my shoulder to take one I'd just put out. it's safe to say that it took me a lot of effort to 'only' step back (to maintain 'social distancing') and *not* to call him a (chuffing) (bumhole)... Not as 'bad' as the others or anything (and not wanting to sound petty or anything), but I also had an 'older' woman tell me that she "expected" me to scan her rewards card for her, despite having just shown her the quick and easy 'swipe' method. Ma'am, tactfully, I can appreciate the 'gesture' (or whatever), but Covid is still very much a thing and I have sanitised my hands so much over the forty-odd minutes we've been open (after being handed quite a few rewards cards, coupons and money) that my hands are already starting to get sticky (and actually kind-of dry)...
Anyway, moving on from my 'gripe', this evening I've been watching some more of 'Arrow' (two more episodes and, not counting 'other' crossover episodes, I am officially halfway there), and tomorrow evening I am looking forward to seeing 'Fargo' on the big-screen at one of my local cinemas...

Not made it, bloody kids smashing up a defibrillator. Get em by the scruff of the neck and shove em in the army for a few years. And the American piece of scum Anne Sacoolas still getting away with killing a 19 year British old lad.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

So my trans daughter's trans girlfriend was kicked out of her house today. I received a text at work that she is spending the day at our house, and may need to spend the night. The kicker is that her parents are a lesbian couple. I guess intolerance is found everywhere. Of course she is welcome (as long as she's sleeping in living room), but this makes me so angry.

Was a gift from a friend. so this might be worth it‘s weight in gold? It's not out of print, so you might get a tenner for it! As I always say about ebay, don't look at what people are asking for something, click the "completed listings" bit and you can see what things are actually selling for. I can go on to ebay and list any run of the mill CD, Book or DVD for a million quid. getting someone to pay it is the hard part! There was a chancer who had Tom's first bluray set for a grand and kept relisting it when it didn't sell. Now that set was going for very good money for a return on investment - £300-£400 in some cases - but to then ask more than double that..I think he was one of life's optimists. You can see finished BF ebay lots here: www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=doctor+who+big+finish&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&LH_Complete=1&_sop=16Someone failed to sell Mother Russia for £300. Someone did get £230 for Benny's Buried Treasure. Someone got £70 for Chimes on CD. But mostly the big money BF sales are for job lots as you can see there. Nothing bar that Benny is getting anyone big money unless they sell a run, bundle or collection (yet). This is incredible though - look what the steelbooks are going for - the Eccleston one (which Amazon were practically giving away for £20 on Prime Day) - sold for just under £500. Capaldi's Season 9? The same. Someone got a Buy It Now of £2,200 sold for a nearest offer on The 14 steelbooks from the New Series..unreal. For 2K I'd at least want the Zavvi Spearhead and Cushing movie steels thrown in! www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=doctor+who+bluray+steelbook&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=doctor+who+bluray&_osacat=0&_sop=16&LH_Complete=1

Buy cheap, sell at higher price, maybe hold back with selling until it got rare... you would need a lot of patience. Which I lack. And luck of course. And all of that stuff you list is out of my price range. I did however get quite lucky with bidding on a run of Marvel comics the other day and got them for 50 Euro. Which was a total steal. Sometimes it is good to be late to the party, like me....

I was using ebay back when music cassettes were still a regular purchase in shops next to cds and vinyls Yes, as was I. When I was first buying on ebay you still sent the cheque or postal order off, waited for it to be cashed, then the goods to be sent to you. Seems like it should be longer ago than it really was. But, yeah, point being - that person either mistyped and added a "0" on, or is delusional. The only BF I've sold for good money is the CD of The Toy, which was exclusive to initial subscribers for the Complete History books. I had an initial promo of the CH books and made good money on those too, when there were only 250 or so test copies.

I once held the line up at the post office, I had 8 separate money orders to send off to 8 different ebay sellers.. LOLZ Now they cost about $13AUS at the post office to send one. not worth it now.
