I hope you feel better!!!!!
I have to say I admire you- your passion and your courage to go out and share your work.
I am so afraid of disappointment that I have never dared to publish my work, to this day, of my thousands of written pages, only two fan fiction novellas exist on the WWW (in German). And these only because I was forced on gunpoint to publish them by friends.
One is a Star Trek Voyager fan fiction, and one is a Three Investigator fanfic novella (it's a German thing).
All my other books (even the ones that made several friends cry for all the feels and emotions in there) have never seen the light of day, and only very select few have had permission to read them.
So, you are very brave and you are actually getting stuff out there. You should be proud.
Thanks, I still feel a little down but much better than yestđ You should be incredibly proud of your accomplishments too! Even if donât share them with many people itâs amazing that you have written more than one book!đ My old PhD supervisor at uni always said: "Get it out or get it perfect!"
It is better to have your work out there, than work forever on getting it perfect because that might never happen.

She's right, you know, timegirl . There's a saying: "Before Enlightenment, the man turns the soil. After Enlightenment... the man turns the soil." There's a similar principle when it comes to writing. Before submission, a writer writes. After submission... Well, a writer writes. Whether or not they're chosen, the process of creative writing continues. Publication is not the first beginning or the ultimate end, it's another upward step on that journey. Look at it like this: you've stepped in a puddle, but the road is still very much there. Anyone can walk it. Not everyone does. Well done for entering. You should absolutely be proud for trying.

Aww thanks đ Luckily that competition runs every two months and I think I might have an idea for their September window đ¤ Also there is still the Paul Spragg competition I (and many others) are waiting to hear the resultsđ¤ and I submitted a writing sample to be considered to be a writer for a new semi-fictional podcast đ and I submitted another script I have been working on for a while to a few different opportunitiesđ¤Hopefully I will get picked up eventually if I keep submitting to thingsđ

Almost half-a-dozen, at the very least. That's not nothing. Keep writing, keep submitting and we'll see what happens next.

The Mash Report is coming back, on Dave channel. Good News though Dave is still part funded by BBC money which makes the brew ha ha on its "Cancellation" look even more like a political point scoring stunt on both sides of the argument . Regards mark687

The Mash Report is coming back, on Dave channel. They should remove that misleading laughter track that makes viewers think they have just missed something funny though...

So we have a new Simon Templar, RegĂŠ-Jean Page who had been thought of as possibly playing James Bond, will star in a new movie which is rumoured to be directed by Dexter Fletcher. Will be interesting to see how this version goes given how terrible the 90s movie.

They should remove that misleading laughter track that makes viewers think they have just missed something funny though... Very alarming, didn't know viewers who don't think it's funny were forced to watch it... The low ratings suggested that they were in a majority and didn't....

Still makes your point rather stupid Daver, people generally do not watch shows they don't like & therefore wouldn't be mislead by a show having a laughter track as you suggested. Try harder next time.

The fellowâs incorrigible.

Daver's response to my post was a deliberate & very obvious attempt to goad me, but I'm in the wrong apparently? I should have just ignored them which is what will be happening going forward. Thank you for your time.

I feel really down today đit was my great aunts funeral and I watched it at home. Which was sad to watch I felt bad because even though my mom did, I didnât really cry. But I guess everyone processes things differently. Also I feel rather depressed because Peter Capaldi said that âAudio dramas are dreary.â And one of the main reasons why I took two audio drama writing classes (although I have never said this to anyone else) is that I really wanted to write for him at BF one day and now I feel like it will never happen. Also I worry that he will never play the Doctor again and that just breaks my heart đ˘

The door hasn't closed yet and a lot can change: look at Chris and Tom.
