Feel it at times lol. Though all the early 20 year olds at work help me feel young at times lmao Exactly the same thing with my students. The energy giveth and the energy taketh away and, honestly, thank god. Feeling old means I've probably learnt something (maybe, possibly). Edit: Actually, you know what just made my day? I bumped into an old friend on the bus. She was getting her stitches taken out at the hospital. I've kept in contact, but I haven't seen her for quite some months. Her health has unfortunately not been terribly good and we've all been missing her. She looks well, though. You'd never know if not for the bandages. All that said... The plan is that, this week, she'll finally be able to come back and see all of us. We'll make a do of it. Something to look forward to for the end of the week.

I have been working a lot more on my script for the audio drama script writing competition I am entering and I came up with a line that made me laugh out loud uncontrollably for several minutes. I feel good about this increasingly strange and surreal script I am writing. Hopefully the competition judges will agree when I submit it in a few months🤞 I have to admit I kind of enjoy that this competition allows and encourages more adult content in their scripts (cursing, adult situations, etc) it’s kind of fun to let loose slightly in terms of language and content etc. (within reason of course😉). I am hoping it all comes together and that the very odd relationship I am writing about comes across.🤞

My niece settling into University, making friends who she shares dorm with.
Spoke to her on Skype at my cousins house & had a laugh.

Since Thursday (until something like October 8th) I've had the house to myself, as my parents' have gone away for a couple of weeks to celebrate their wedding anniversary... Haaaaave I done anything 'special' or 'out of the blue' to "celebrate"? Yeeeeeah, no. Outside of going to the cinema after work on Sunday (to see 'The Many-Saints Of Newark' and 'Dune'), I've pretty much done what I'd normally doing (I did get myself a small £2-something bottle of white wine for 'Evil Of The Daleks' part 7, though, which did go to my head slightly as it's been a long while since I've drunk alcohol 'reguarly'...).
On a less-than-positive not though, I've been having some severe technical difficulties with my Mac over the past 24hrs (most of the time it does turn-on fine, but doesn't want to log into my main account on it, always getting 'stuck' on the progress bar as it does so)... 'Tried forcing it into the 'Safe Mode', but even that won't let me get into it so that I can try and free up some space... Yeeeeeah, it's safe to say that I might be getting the train down to my local MacStore to get it looked at on Friday if it still hasn't 'figured itself out'. =_=

I don’t know why this makes me happy but I saw a really big owl (the size of Benny and Junebug) on my morning walk watching me from the distance and then I stopped and looked at it and we both stared at each other for a minute. I was so surprised to see it there I said out loud: “You’re an owl”. Then it opened its beak and screeched at me in response and flew away with with a dead animal in its claws. I love owls 🦉🥰

Weird and wonderful announcement from my strange German fandom- a new movie was announced and we saw the first pictures of the lead actors. And this time, they actually made an effort to cast some teens who actually look slightly similar to the description in the books. There is hope that someone in the production office has actually had a glance at some of the books and they are not making things up as they go along, as a different team did in the previous movies (which were not very popular in Germany, although it is one of the most popular fandoms over here). I am talking of course of the new movie for The Three Investigators. Working title "Legacy of the Dragon" (Erbe des Drachens), release in January, 2023. It takes place in the Carpatian Mountains and im am pretty sure the Dragon in the title refers to a certain famous count who liked to put his victims on stakes. Perfect for Jupiter, Peter and Bob to go hunting for some vampires! I am actually pretty excited about this!

Does the owl come out at night or day? It is a European Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) and they are evening/ night hunters. She sleeps during the day. I think they are a pair, because I hear them calling and they call to each other and doing their territorial chant.
I even ran into them at night when I went out into the balcony, and I am always careful when I open my bedroom window because if I do it too fast and noisy, I startle them and they get upset, fly off and call me names.

Since it takes place in Europe, I hope we get some strong "Silver Spider" vibes there!

Just finished the rough draft of my script for the audio drama script competition I am entering for the 4th time and I have a very good feeling about this one, more than the other scripts I have entered!🤞 I don’t know why but something about the dialogue and hearing the characters’ voices loud and clear and the odd premise just feel right this time. I just sent it to my writers group for feedback so hopefully they can help me make it even better before I submit it in the beginning of November. It’s a very weird little idea about a very odd complicated and (I think) sweet relationship with (sometimes edgy) sense of humor, so fingers crossed that someone else likes it🤞

Thanks 😊hopefully the competition will like this one!🤞The competition have a lot of strange winning scripts they have already made into audio dramas including one about a tiny shrinking man who desperately wants to take a lavender bubble bath, another about a man turning into a scarecrow, and another about an angry murderous sentient talking toilet; so hopefully they will appreciate my odd little story. Speaking of writing I think I have more things to work on for Divergent Wordsmiths 😉

The one already in drafts. When you next get the chance, can you send me an email with a reminder about it?
