Gosh, Kamelion has gotten awfully good at this shape-shifting business since the 80s. And become a complete prat as well by the sounds of it. That ‘interview’ created so many red flags. The choice of language, the responses, just utterly bizarre. If Ms Winters is even real (which says a lot about this entire thing that I have my doubts) then she is either a very socially awkward woman or a love struck adolescent with all that talk of wanting Shaun Lyons to be ‘her boyfriend’ at one point. Just so odd. |

Just skim read that Outpost Gallifrey interview between “Bill” and “Victoria” and it’s absolutely bizarre. Choice quotes to save anyone else clicking on it- ‘Bill: Certainly you do know that there was a website called "Outpost Gallifrey" in the past. Are you familiar with it? Victoria: Certainly. I do recall that website as I was a member for many years. I remember the founder Shaun Lyon and how much I would have loved for him to be my boyfriend. But that was a long time ago and things have changed.’ Erm...wtf?! ‘Victoria [In response to “Bill” asking about this forum and Gallifrey Base]: I knew you would be getting to that point and I am as dismayed as anyone. I logged into a website owned and operated by Patrick Clinger which is called Proboards. Big Finish operates a site there where their staff interacts with the public and it's not pleasant. Big Finish staff demean and abuse users as if they think it is funny. Bill: Do you know John Dorney? Victoria: Yes. I actually do and he is a pleasant man. I can see that you are setting me up for this question and I will answer it without you asking. John Dorney is just as guilty as other Big Finish authors such as J.A Prentice, Kenny Smith, Rob Valentine and Lisa McMullin. All of these authors seem to think it is funny for end readers to be less than pleased. J.A Prentice, Kenny Smith, Rob Valentine, and John Dorney and Lisa McMullin are all active in the abuse, harassment and bullying of Doctor Who fans. And that is sad. All of these authors abuse fans on a censored forum where they seem to tale glee in it.’ I don’t think Lisa McMullin’s even on this forum? I guess she’s now apparently implicated cos she, like most rational people, didn’t believe the posts on Twitter. So anyway that’s a repeat of the same accusations as last week, but throwing even more creatives into the mix. “Victoria” closes the interview claiming they’re launching a federal lawsuit against the operator of Gallifrey Base. As you do, I guess. Anyway I will resist looking at this online car crash again. Victoria Winters and Bill Sunshine. I wonder if they are friendly with Michael John Timmons and his gay partner, Jason? He isn't very good at this is he? |

There have been a handful of truly bizarre Doctor Who moments over the years involving someone smashing their television with a hammer after the show was taken off for 18 months in the mid-eighties to the current truly mind-blowing situation we have here. I'm wondering how the Big Finish people are taking it all - hovering between getting lawyers involved and crying with laughter, I'd imagine!
But at the heart of it - just why? Why is Kamelion doing this? Is he really so uptight about what he sees as injustice or is it all a cry for attention? Because these things he - via these imaginary interviews - is protesting about aren't an issue for anyone else. The 'fans' he claims to be championing don't know what he is talking about!

At least, I can't find it. Then again, the format of the site doesn't lend itself to link to a particular article. I have to say I laughed out loud when I saw the names Victoria Winters and Bill Sunshine juxtaposed like that. I'm pretty sure Kamelion writes all the stories himself and makes up the names of his reporters. I tried searching for Michael John Timmons and the only folks I found by that name are long since dead. |

I can't afford to sue him for libel. The list of Big Finish authors who are "accused" of these things is just the list of people who told him to stop posting rubbish on Twitter. I may be wrong, but it looks like the new 'Outpost Gallifrey' (hosted by Google Sites) has been taken down. Perhaps someone used the 'report abuse' function. Certainly this morning it produced an 'unrecognised URL' error by Google and now it is a blank page with a header only.
Oh dear.

I remember on Galifrey Base trying to explain to him the difference between US and UK law, and how you can't apply them outside their countries. Clearly it didn't sink in.

Also is it just me or does that extract read like a guy writing dialogue for a girl without knowing how girls actually talk?
