The Doctor, Ryan, Graham and Yaz arrive in 17th century Lancashire and become embroiled in a witch trial, run by the local landowner. As fear stalks the land, the arrival of King James I only serves to intensify the witch hunt. But is there something even more dangerous at work? Can the Doctor and friends keep the people of Bilehurst Cragg safe from all the forces that are massing in the land?

Is there some prize for pointlessly setting up these threads weeks early?

Is there some prize for pointlessly setting up these threads weeks early? I wouldn’t say this is pointless. I just saw that the new synopses had been released today and thought that I’d share them here for everyone to see. I can take them down if it’s causing offence for everyone?

Is there some prize for pointlessly setting up these threads weeks early? What side of the bed did you fall out of? Nothing's wrong here: there's usually trailers, promos, interviews and advance reviews that come out, and these threads serve as a good place to share them pre-broadcast.

Now here's the thing: Wiki and Tardiswikia both listed this as ep.9 for a good while and I kept thinking: that can't be right because we know this fell earlier in the production block, so it had to be a Aprahamian story, not a Childs one.

Thanks nucleusofswarm - as long as everyone’s fine with posting a few weeks before broadcast to hype the episode then the thread stays! I just didn’t see the difference between posting this now and other Big Finish threads that would anticipate releases months in advance, and thought everyone else would like to participate! Seriously though, I think this episode sounds great - and along with Demons of the Punjab this is definitely something that I cannot wait for!

By the way, if anyone's managed to listen to Ordeal, what did you think?

After Punjab, now I'm even more curious how Wilkinson will tackle the witches here.

The 'next time' trailers haven't been that dynamic for this series, but this looks really exciting and emotive. Cannot wait for this.

I love this guy's response. Sadly, there are probably some who think that legitimately.
