This is just a Guess but His Dark Materials/ The Golden Compass starts Sunday so a teaser Trailer might be shown as well before or after.

Typical. Wait all year for something to happen and I'll probably on a plane when it does.
Question is; will it be the main series reveal or are they going to confirm we're getting the special first?

At this point, it's pretty much confirmed there's no special for this year. That's why the Titans Comics have labelled their one that. Whatever was being filmed recently, it's not for this year.

DWM confirms writers and directors (I think this is new information): -Chibnall has written 4 of the 10 episodes -Ed Hime, Pete McTighe and Vinay Patel are returning -Nina Métivier, who was script editor for The Woman Who Fell To Earth and It Takes You Away, outside of Who she co-created The A-List and was a producer and writer on Dixi -Maxine Alderton, who has previously written for Emmerdale and CBBC show The Worst Witch -Charlene James, who has apparently won awards and has worked on A Discovery of Witches and Snatches: Moments from Women’s Lives -All four directors are newbies to Who: Jamie Magnus Stone, Lee Haven Jones, Nida Manzoor and Emma Sullivan.
The pieces ends reiterating Series 12 will broadcast in ‘early 2020’

Jones and Sullivan have worked on other BBC stuff Silent witness Casualty, Doctors, Waterloo Road, and in fact Stone is an uncredited assistant Director on the Series 7 prequal scenes with Clara .
2 best writers of last Series back. Only example of pervious writing that would fit the usual perceived mould of Who from the new writers is Discovery of Witches which was quite good (surprised its not had another series)

A Discovery of Witches is returning on Sky next year...very possibly “early 2020”. They have also confirmed a series 3. I have to admit I am looking forward to series two of DoW more than I am series two of Chibnall’s DW

The gender split is closer to 50-50 now, and Alderton and James have cut their teeth in genre before, so they could be some really cool additions.
McTighe amazes me - the guy's showrunning the next DoW, overseeing Wentworth, developing and selling projects around the world AND helping with the classic series blu-rays. Doesn't he sleep?

As the next series is finally on the horizon there are three things I'm hoping for from it.
1. If you're have to have three companions actually give them all stuff to do.
2. Less stories in which it turns out there was no real enemy and it was all just some misunderstanding.
3. You have a great actress in the lead role, so for Zod's sake give her something to other than being nice. (Well being nice and being hypocritically judgemental of your companions.)
