youtu.be/3aPfN_0WvK4New trailer (rather like buses, you wait ages for a Series 12 trailer and then two come along) which confirms New Year’s Day start. "Spyfall". They really are going full-on Bond with this one... And it looks like it#s sticking to Sunday for it's regular slot, unless BBC America are going to be showing it a day later. I really like the name. It rolls off the tongue and explains exactly what to expect from the episode. Let's see where this goes.

Great trailer, as was the previous one, looking forward to our beloved show returning. I don’t tend to get involved in the spoilers and rumour mill, so I’ve only just found out that Goran Višnjić will be in the series. Interestingly, he lost out on the role of James Bond to Daniel Craig. Thought it was a nice coincidence given the “Spyfall” title.

I usually loathe New Year so at least it will be tolerable now the good Doctor is back.
Excellent news.

Looking forward to Series 12 of 'Doctor Who' starting New Year's Day 2020. The trailers look exciting and I'm glad we're starting with a two-parter. 'Spyfall' is clearly a rip-off of James Bond, isn't it? Looking forward to seeing Cybermen, Judoon, Stephen Fry and Lenny Henry (the Seventh Doctor we could've had ) in the new season. As well as Jodie's Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz. I think the Daleks are coming back, but we'll wait and see. Tim.

Malcolm Hulke helped Terrance Dicks get his start in television via The Avengers in the early 60s, for instance. I'm very excited for the new series. A two-part debut, espionage, danger, foreign locales and a shipshape team. Sounds like fun.

On topic: the more I hear about S12 the more exciting it sounds! Love the idea of 'Spyfall', the return of two-parters and hopefully more action. And the TARDIS crew in black tie, looking very smart guys
Random 'Bond' fact: the "real" 'Skyfall house' is often linked to Glen Etive in Scotland. But Ian Fleming partly grew up at Arnisdale in a very remote part of the spectacular west coast, so Arnisdale Lodge (which his family owned before WWI) must have a claim to be the "real" Skyfall. Sadly his father Valentine was killed in action in WWI and is commemorated on the war memorial in Glenelg village just a few miles up the coast. (I happened to learn this just recently on BBC's 'Grand Tours of the Scottish Islands', programme 2. It's still on iPlayer, very good series.)

Ah... If we're feeling particularly cheeky, we might get away with calling Frontier in Space, You Only Live Thrice. *waggles eyebrows knowingly in Delphon* Great stories either way.

I'll be very disappointed if they don't do a special credits sequence featuring a (tastefully silhouetted) naked Bradley Walsh dancing while doing something suggestive with a Sonic Screwdriver...
