And I still remain unmoved by any of it. I also really have a problem with the redo on the theme so that it sounds like Nick's tune for Counter Measures. I hope I'm wrong and this turns out to be great but that it is almost December and I've yet to pre-order it, I don't know that I will.

It still sounds great and I really like the packaging and despite me being a download buyer I would go for the CD version because the price isn't that more expensive but I am just not sure 40 quid for 4 adaptations is worth the money. If it was brand new stories I would have already have paid for it. Personally I can see myself breaking come January when it gets released but before the price goes up at the end of the month along with downloads of avengers vol 5 and the Churchill box set (I noticed when things get released they become available to get the 10 percent discount even if the pre order price is still available). Those 3 in total come to 80 (plus 2 pound postage for prisoner) which discounts it down to £73.80 which means I can technically say I'm getting the prisoner for £33.80 which isn't that far off of what I would have paid for a download of it

My husband and I really liked The Prisoner on TV. But my husband can't picture it as an audio story. But he doesn't listen to as much audio drama as I do. Still, I don't think I'll be investing in this one right now. Too many other things I want more.

Unlike most, I have no real previous knowledge of The Prisoner, but have pre-ordered this anyway because it sounds intriguing and the original has such a good reputation. I wonder how my views as a 'newbie' will contrast with those who have the seen the televised version(s).

Well, bit the bullet and preordered. Granted the unexpected residual check that arrived helped. Still wish BF had gone with a not-so-deluxe packaging option but there you have it, there it is.

I have to say, the trailer does sound pretty good. Still seems like a lot of money to spend, especially with all the other Big Finish releases that I want more.

Yes the trailer is very impressive,i always thought it would be, most issues in this range seem to be about the price+the story is identical to the original, although nick briggs calls it a re-imagining.I may change my mind yet!
