Didn't Series 13 end on a cliff-hanger that Series 14 would've carried on from? Regards mark687 IIRC yes, which presumably would put S14 either in 1901 or at the start of 1902. But as it didn't end up 'happening in canon' I decided to just throw it at the bottom as a curiosity. The events of Season 14 were heavily referred back to in Jago And Litefoot Forever. The adventure(s) happened in canon, just not 'on camera.'

I'm perfectly happy to consider the unproduced series 14 as happening immediately/shortly after 13

The J&L Revival is directly referenced in series 14, which means it has to come before then (although I note Revival is already positioned between S12 and 13 in some of the timelines on this thread)

(And was released between Series 12 & 13)

Also J&L Series 14 ends at Christmas just days before J&L Forever begins on New Years Eve. This has been confirmed on GallifreyBase by Paul Morris.

My approach had been to go Series 13 (1901), Jalxar and Kravenos (1902), then Forever (NYE 1902) as my preference is to end the whole thing with J&L Forever as the finale. If that's where Series 14 sits.... Well, it's been a while since I've listened to Jalxar or Kravenos, but I wonder whether they can reasonably work within that week between Xmas and NYE lol

Okay here’s my attempt, some of the dates are gonna be a bit iffy but I’ll explain them below:
1892 - The Talents of Greel 1892 - The Talons of Weng-Chiang
1892 - The Mahogany Murderers 1892 - The Bloodless Soldier 1892 - The Bellova Devil 1892 - The Spirit Trap 1892 - The Similarity Engine
1892 - Litefoot and Sanders 1892 - The Necropolis Express 1892 - The Theatre of Dreams 1892 - The Ruthven Inheritance
1893 - Dead Men's Tales August 1893 - The Man at the End of the Garden 1893 - Swan Song 1893 - Chronoclasm
1893 - Jago in Love 1893 - Beautiful Things 1893 - The Lonely Clock 1893 - The Hourglass Killers Voyage to Venus Voyage to the New World
1968 - The Age of Revolution 1968 - The Bloodchild Codex 1968 - The Case of the Gluttonous Guru 1968 - The Final Act
1893 - The Skeleton Quay 1893 - Return of the Repressed 1893 - Mind Games / The Screaming Skull December 1894 - Military Intelligence December 1894 - The Trial of George Litefoot
December 1894 - The Monstrous Menagerie December 1894 - The Night of 1000 Stars December 1894 - Murder at Moorsey Manor December 1894 - The Wax Princess
1895 - Encore of the Scorchies 1895 - The Backwards Men 1895 - Stage Fright 1895 - Jago & Litefoot & Patsy 1895 - Higson & Quick
1895 - The Flying Frenchman 1895 - The Devil's Dicemen 1895 - Island of Death 1895 - Return of the Nightmare
1895 - The Case of the Missing Gasogene 1895 - The Year of the Bat 1895 - Jago & Litefoot & Strax: The Haunting 1895 - The Mourning After 1895 - The Museum of Curiosities
1895 - Jago & Son 1895 - Maurice 1895 - The Woman in White 1895 - Masterpiece
1895 - Picture This 1895 - The Flickermen 1895 - School of Blood 1895 - Warm Blood
January 1896 - The Jago & Litefoot Revival
1896 - The Stuff of Nightmares 1896 - Chapel of Night 1896 - How The Other Half Lives 1896 - Too Much Reality
1896 - The Red Hand 1896 - The Laughing Policeman 1896 - The Corridors of Power December 1896 - A Command Performance January 1897 - Jago & Litefoot Forever
December 1897 - Merry Christmas Mr Jago 1902 - The Justice of Jalxar 1902 - The Beast of Kravenos
So basically, the extras for Series 1 establish that it takes place in 1892, shortly after the events of Talons, in which Litefoot can be seen reading the February 1892 edition of a magazine.
By Series 4, it is 1893. This is confirmed in Series 5 where J&L explicitly state that they came from 1893. They seem to return to exactly the time they left.
So presumably Series 6 begins in 1893. However Murder at Moorsey Manor is set exactly a year after the release of The Final Problem (December 1893) and it’s stated in dialogue in another episode that it’s currently 1894. The back half of Series 7 through the whole of Series 7 takes place over roughly a few days.
A few weeks pass over the course of Encore of the Scorchies which picks up right after The Wax Princess. So by the end of that story it’s at least January 1895. Stage Fright is here because there’s a gap of loose continuity for J&L during Series 8 and Quick is an Inspector so it’s after The Wax Princess.
The reason Series 8-12 all take place in 1895 is because J&L stopped giving exact years after Series 7, (although there is an allusion to Series 9 taking place in 1895) and I don’t feel like enough time can realistically pass over the course of these boxsets which all follow on from the previous, to make it into a new year.
I’ve placed The Haunting during Series 10 for a couple reasons. They were released within a month of each other and share the same theme music. According to TARDIS wiki there’s a gap of about a week in the middle of series 10 where it can slot in. The only other places that it could fit comfortably are during Series 8 (but it’d have the wrong theme music) or sometime between Series 12 and Merry Christmas Mr Jago. So I feel like this is probably the best placement.
The Jago & Litefoot Revival takes place during a new year, almost exactly a year after J&L Series 11. There’s a gap between Series 12 and Series 13, and this was released within that gap so I placed it before Series 13. Of course we now have confirmation of this placement from Series 14 which follows directly on from Series 13. By authorial intent, Jago & Litefoot Forever picks up about a week after Series 14. Jago & Litefoot Forever is somewhere between 5 and 7 years after Talons depending on whether Jago or Ellie was right in their estimations. So it’s likely either in 1897, 1898 or 1899.
Also by authorial intent, Merry Christmas Mr Jago takes place the Christmas after Jago & Litefoot Forever.
Finally, the two 4DAs take place in roughly 1902 because the blurb places Justice of Jalxar in the early 20th century and it’s also been 10 years since Talons.

I've started working my way through the Eighth Doctor novels and I've almost finished The Bodysnatchers, I was surprised to see it so far down in the timeline (though seeing other comments, it makes sense given the 1893 remark in Series 5) - but really, The Bodysnatchers doesn't really fit with J&L at all. Litefoot pretty much says he's had no excitement since the events of Weng-Chiang, hasn't seen The Doctor and Leela since then, seemingly hasn't been in the TARDIS before and isn't aware of what it is, and also doesn't make the connection that Eight is the same person as Four/Six.

BodySnacters is a tricky one now its etheir treated as non-chronical or as happening after Beast of Kavenos [that being stated as the last proper BF entry in timeline order] granted Bodysnaters complicates this further as the authors intention was that this was an older Lightfoot that believes either A. 8's a deputy of 4 or B. 8 is a younger version before 4. Do we have any thoughts on when they met and defeated the Carrionites as recorded in the Prof's memoirs and later used by Sixie in CDNM2 ? (Now that's a book I'd dearly love to read! I wonder when he wrote them? All those untold adventures... )
