^ I have ordered some of the above but instead of diving into them I have just started listening to Series One and seeing if I can manage the whole range in order to some degree. Two episodes into The House of Despair and it's pretty easy to get into for a newbie. I've heard a few Quentin Collins stories already but isn't David Selby just so dry in his delivery. He's one of those rare actors who could just be reading off the page and yet could get away with it!

Selby is unique isnt he he was good as an actor on telly and his vocal is such a rich thing so distinctive. Am Glad you started the way i did and ou wont be disappointed i dont think there is one on the range i didnt enjoy

Dark Shadows-The Ghost Watcher-Stuart Manning
This is such a beautifully haunting and atmospheric tale and a great introduction to Collinsport and especially Maggie and Alec Newman is simply brilliant opposite Kathryn. Classic tale

And Red All Over is the audio I return to more than most at the moment. I suppose it has become known as the last single-disc story, which is a shame as the standard of the run was particularly high and brought a lot of terrific new writers to Big Finish. What a fitting way to end though - two of the earliest original cast members turning in great performances (as always) in a brilliantly creepy story by Cody Schell.

#50 "And Red All Over". I haven't listened to this story yet, I was kind of waiting for news on the 2 big ambitious DS projects before I committed to closing the book, so to speak. As I can't wait much longer, I will just listen to it..

Dark Shadows-The Christmas Presence-Scott Handcock
What I loved about all these stories is I only had a brief flirtation with Dark Shadows and that’s all you need I wish other Bf listeners would get into this range it is strangely addictive and I would say more in the line of Torchwood listeners than regular `who listeners.
But you soon get the grasp of the strange goings on at Collinwood and Collinsport. This is a wonderfully spooky tale as befits cold winter nights...Brought to life by the regulars.John Karlin and Lara Parker’s scene of taunting is particularly excellent.David Selby a wonderful vocal on audio so rich and deep.Somif you like crackling fires, howling winds outside...go give it at try after all its Christmas
