16 quid for a normal sized mug? You'd need to be one yourself to go for that!

I thought the prices were steep, but these sites tend to be. Nice idea though but the mug is probably twice what I'd pay. If they had a stack on sale at BF Day at a sensible price they might go. Maybe we need a forum mug?

Maybe we need a forum mug? Previously from BF: no-one bought clothing, so it's not viable. Now from BF: loads of BF clothing and merchandise on 3rd party site. Conclusion: I think it must be manufactured on demand. That would mean no chances of surplus being sold off cheap at a BF Day. (But it would make it easy to do a forum mug, albeit at an exorbitant £13.50!)

Even if any of it looked any good (and it doesn't), I wouldn't be able to afford any of this with what I'm paying BF every month anyway!!! And as I don't like the way BF treats its supporters anyway (forum for example), not buying anything is my protest to them!

Nothing there to make me use the introductory offer...
I have said many times that I would really like a Big Finish calendar. Twelve months of their best CD covers with the month and days down the bar where the Doctors face and CD info is usually. But they have always said that would be outside of their licence agreement, so I guess I will never get it.
As for clothing how about a Jago & Litefoot cardigan?

Big Finish used to do calendars; they did a desk calendar with cover artwork, along with a wall planner, many many years ago... I don't think many people bought them, although I did.
As for the new merchandise. Good luck to them in this new money-making venture, but for me the items are overpriced for what they are. Plus I wouldn't pay money to advertise for Big Finish now; if they want me to promote them, they can send me something free and I'll use/wear it.

If they did do desk calendars in the past it must be a case of no interest rather then not be being able to do so. It must have been a long long time ago becuase I don't ever remember seeing them offered. With everyone in the UK having to either pay for carrier bags or carry around folding bags I would think that giving away a Big Finish bag with any order for physical products over say £100 would be good advertising for them and a really useful gift for the customer.

If you want it, you'd better be quick now!

Yeah! The BF wall planner was for 2002, with bare BF cover artwork around the sides. A long time ago, but they never did anymore so I assume they wasn't very popular.

I may get The red long sleeve tee. Maybe closer to when I go to Li Who next year so I can wear it to the con.
I do like the idea of the 8th Doctor Companion Shirt but the composition needs some work. Nice that they added Liv & Helen on there though.

Maybe we need a forum mug? I'd get a forum mug, if it was reasonably priced. Another forum I frequent sold some forum items using Cafepress. And a friend of mine uses Spreadshirt for some items he sells in association with his blog. I looked at the Big Finish products. They're nice enough, but a bit too pricey for me, especially when I factor in the shipping.

I think I'll throw my hat in the ring with too pricey and not interesting enough. I don't like all the &s on the eighth doctor shirt. I'd pay an arm and a leg for shipping, plus inflated prices. *Sigh* It's mostly just the BF logo over and over. Maybe some other time.

Make it so Tony, a Divergent Universe mug! £5.99 with sensible p & p, they will go like hot cakes. Folks I can get a local company to knock out mugs with our logo as it is printed on them with Divergent Universe for around £4.00 if we go below 100 units, and also do embroided shirts in various sizes, colours (Haynes/Froot of the Loom) for between £7 and £25 dependent on style, type etc. I may just get some mugs done as Christmas presents to see what they are like as freebies to test the quality I will keep you posted.

The company say that they can ship worldwide as well for a lot cheaper than for example DPD, Fed Ex, Royal Mail, as they have a service to service contract with a company owned in the UK by UPS, so for example 1 mug shipped in around a week from UK to US would work out around $15.00 Australia around the same although they can ship in quantity to one address for onward shipping if we wanted.

All sounds interesting - we just need some artwork!

I'd buy the mug if it was cheaper and I'd be an Eighth Companion t-shirt, if it was slightly better designed
