Just because you are not any of these toxic haters that seem to thrive on the WWW these days, does not mean you are anybody's whore. Must have gotten cold and lonely under the bridge the guy is living under...
You can never have enough ego stroking in my humble opinion, so keep doing what you obviously enjoy doing (you are after all one of the many contributors to my ever expanding audio wish list..😊) and laugh off the words of a very, very sad little individual.
Someone took the time out of their day to write that email? What a waste of everybody's time.
Forget it. Forget them. They've no power over you. If you enjoy what you do and it brings cheer to others, that's two very good reasons to keep at it.
Absolutely right. You take time to provide podcasts and reviews etc which you enjoy, and other people enjoy also. This gammy little nasty takes time to communicate rudeness and negativity that no-one enjoys - not even, I suspect, the one who wrote it.
I don't think you are unnecessarily enthusiastic, you point out faults when you come across them - just in a lighter and forgiving way. Certainly there was criticism in your S11 reviews, albeit tempered with the realisation that you might be on the higher side of the target audience. Our culture seems to be obsessed with "I love this, it's the best thing ever" or "I hate this, it's utter rubbish" with no room for any middle ground. I've no idea how we got here.
I sometimes worry about being overly positive in my BF reviews for CultBox and IMU, but I enjoy most of BF's output and always find plenty that is positive to say without trying too hard. Do people *really* want to hear reviews which slag everything off? I know I don't!
If you're genuinely enjoying what you hear, don't let some negative nut with an axe to grind put you off. Just weigh that lone voice against all the other listeners who are happy - and you know they are happy because they wouldn't listen if they weren't!

Your recent review of the War Master 2 proves you are not.
What I would likel you to do is revisit older releases where your can give a bit more insight into what you liked and occasionally didn’t like, rather than having to cut yourself off through fear of spoilers.
I have been a subscriber for many a year and always enjoy your podcast - so thank you for all that you have done.
