Cover now online for Bernice Summerfield: The Doomsday Manuscript! It's a bit of a dull cover. I would have preferred a version of the book cover myself, in line with the audio stories of that era. However, it's great that these stories are actually going to be available again for a new audience so it's not a big deal.

So is there a listening order for these books.
I have the first five series, but one of the reasons I gave up was that often I felt like I was only get part of the story.

The short story anthology Dead Mens Diaries fits in between series 1 and Doomsday Manuscript as well

Doomsday manuscript seems to be coming out soon. It’s got both mp3 and audiobook buttons next to it

Well, this has to be some kind of a record for me in how quickly I listened to a new, very long, release like this. I was on-call for work today and I got up early, not really expecting a call but you never know. I logged into BF and saw Doomsday was out, so I downloaded it, put it on my MP3 player then went and laid down with it playing. Okay, I did nod off a couple of times but not for long, just had to rewind a few minutes to resume. But I made it through.
Of course it was good, Lisa, as always, nailed it. As one who has not read these print books I'm glad they decided to put them out as audiobooks with Lisa reading.

The Doomsday Manuscript was pretty good so I bought Gods of The Underworld.
Ugh. I'm an hour in and it's terrible. Benny's done nothing but get on a ship, and then crash. I'm probably going to keep listening 'cause I bought the damn thing. But I'm having trouble staying focused, or caring. And it's not for lack of trying by Bowerman. She's performing her head off. But the story is so lacking, with new character after new character whom I have no interest in.

I bought the 4 books in a bundle ages ago and haven't gotten around to reading them. I think I'll hold off on the audio versions and eventually get around to reading them.

Loved Doomsday manuscript, not crazy about Gods of Underworld.

The Gods of the Underworld novel was a bit weird and not, in my opinion, one of the better Benny books.

I am taking a brief break to reflect that I love spending time with Lisa Bowerman. Admittedly, Every Benny audiobook has been full of interesting stories but she is a huge plus as her Performance will undoubtedly lift any iffy Material.
Colin Baker is like rhat too as I have read one or two books of dubious quality but still enjoyed the experience because of Colin.
I have yet to hear anything dubious that Lisa has narrated. But even Good becomes great as she lifts the Material. I love the way she does voices too.
The Unbound companion book has the best Voice work of any book tantamount to it feeling almost full cast.

Totally agree. Lisa is fantastic.

Agreed as well. Recently finished Gods of the Underworld and thought Lisa did an excellent job with the reading. I listened this time over several days on my commute, and her delivery made the story was interesting enough that I wanted to keep coming back to it.
