This seems as likely as Scratchman getting released! Philip Martin has written a Sil film for Reeltime and Nabil is reprising the role. www.amazon.co.uk/Blood-Stones-DVD/dp/B079ZSSHWM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1548868173&sr=1-2&keywords=Reeltime+Pictures&linkCode=sl1&tag=dw-single-21&linkId=de135a048f501ca662d0826153c8eab1&language=en_GBAn original drama from the world of BBCtv s DOCTOR WHO, featuring SIL, the ruthless alien entrepreneur from planet Thoros Beta, played by NABIL SHABAN. SIL is worried, very worried, which doesn t keep his reptilian skin in the best condition! Confined in a cold detention cell on the moon, awaiting a deportation hearing for trial on drugs offences on Earth, he faces a death sentence if the application is successful and he is found guilty. And his employers at the Universal Monetary Fund aren t pleased either. Not at all. As time runs out and friends desert him, SIL must use all of his devious, vile, underhanded, ruthless, and amoral business acumen to survive. Can he possibly slime his way out of this one?

Doctor Who takes a year off and the bizarre Wilderness Years spinoffs are back already.

Hmmm - confined to a cell. Potentially a lot of it could be an hour long monologue to camera style production with a few supporting characters & trial by video link?
The White Witch of Devils End was less of a dramatisation than a 'Talking Heads' style affair, by all accounts.
Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid, they have always been less professional than Big Finish on the basis of past releases, more akin to Undergraduate Projects, if that's no too harsh a judgement.

I haven't read the script but as I understand it 'confined IN a cell' just means he's imprisoned, not that the drama is confined TO one room. I also understand it to be full cast, with Nabil by no means the only recognisable name. Devil's End was intended as a first-person piece. It turned out to be much longer than expected so more characters/performers were added. Sil has been been written from outset as a multi-character piece.

I just saw this, and my tongue started flapping around in la-la-la fashion in anticipation.
But I do agree that I'd rather have BF doing this sort of thing, their way.

I'm definitely hoping for the full cast, but even if it ends up confined to a single cell... I think we'll be alright. Miles Richardson (pre-Brax, I think) was able to do some astounding things for Draconian culture in the second Mindgame story with nothing but four walls and the occasional prop. He's the Draconian's Draconian in many respects. (I should really watch that again.)
That's a thought, I wonder who'll be doing the costume/make-up design for this one?

I came across a Blu-Ray of Doctor Who: Sil & the Devil Seeds of Arodor, starring Nabil Shaban, offered on Amazon. Has anyone here heard of this production? Seen it?

Head on over to Keith's FB for details about a couple of screenings of the film. The London one will have all the cast present, signings, an auction of props etc. Sounds like a real good time. I'm looking forward to this quite a lot. Keith's been promoting it heavily, you can tell he's really, really proud of this one.

Trailer drop! www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTuxDAdKFCUIt looks fun to me, with Nabil, Sophie Aldred and Chris Ryan looking to be the ones having a real fun time here. The production values aren't going to make anyone think they're watching a blockbuster but I think the writing and the performances will be where this does best. A new Sil movie, written by Phillip Martin is something I don't think any of us thought would happen.
