Hammer's involvement is a class touch. I love their 3 Quatermass films even if Brian Donlevy (in the first two of the three) is the worst Quatermass in any medium.
The Kneale estate are so protective of the licence it's always unlikely they'd give it to BF. Even if they do get the licence at some point, Quatermass needs to be a limited series, just the stories as written and maybe an original - the "canon" is pretty much the major events in the British Rocket Group's existence and then Quatermass' life post-retirement. He's not the type of character that should be in constant adventures.
There IS a Quatermass audio from the Beeb in the 90s. It's got Andrew Keir from the 1967 version of Quatermass And The Pit returning decades later. It's interposed with reminisces from Nigel Kneale too. Bit of an oddity. Good stuff though.

I've got that 90s audio - it's an odd beast to say the least. I wasn't sure about it until a long way through. I agree Quatermass should be a small run thing not a big epic |
