I would kill for a Guardians of the Galaxy movie that features Thor. And I guess there is a reason the Black Widow movie has been referred to as a prequel film. And I think it makes total sense that Iron Man is the one to wield the armor that brought everything to a close.

Just finished it up a few minutes ago.
Great looking movie, seriously.
Gary Russell and Craig Hinton would have lived the second act. Seriously.
Generally I think infinity war was the better movie, but that doesn’t mean that endgame was bad.
One little detail I loved. I had recently watched the undiscovered country, and during the credits I thought the signatures were neat and that more movies should do them. lo and behold I see it in endgame.
Also, I knew about the lack of a post credit scene, but waited anyway. At the very end with the sound, one guy flipped out and threw his glasses at the screen. Angry about the lack of scene I guess.

We had posters all over the cinemas here in Australia "warning" that there is seriously no end scenes at all. I still stayed to listen to the metalic clinking of Stark hammering out his armour.

Just an amazing film and didnt expect what happened to Black Widow But when you heard they were going to Vormir then you knew one of them was going to die, and it pretty much had to be her, since she was the "obvious one to survive". I gotta say it wasn't one of the stronger emotey bits for me.

Bits and pieces.... BannerHulk was hilarious. The selfie bit might've gone on for a beat or two longer than I'd have liked, but the absurdity of a big green Mark Ruffalo is just too funny not to enjoy. The part when all the portals open, and literally everything that the franchise has been building over the last 11 years comes together in one spectacular moment. I haven't been choked up by awe in a movie moment like that since the Rohirrim rode to Minas Tirith's rescue in Return of the King. My eyes actually did well up when Pepper was telling Tony that it’s okay and ‘he can rest, we’ll be fine.’ I’ve been at the bedside of more than one dying relative and heard those exact words, so the scene had just an agonizingly real touch in that scene. Since the restored Gamora is not our Gamora, that means she didn’t experience ANY of Guardians 1 or 2. I’m very curious how this will be addressed by Guardians 3. I was (pleasantly) surprised at how sparingly they used Captain Marvel. When Peggy was on screen in the 1970 bit (Steve watching her talk to someone through the glass), I was ever so slightly put out that the person she was talking to wasn't one of the SSR guys from Agent Carter. Thought it was a huge missed opportunity....and then, not five minutes later, James Flippin' Darcy makes a cameo as Jarvis!! I was SO pleased! I'm rather curious how Agents of SHIELD Season 6 is going to play out. Are they going to be post-Endgame, so the world is restored? Or are they going to play in the post-apocalyptic five year gap? I cracked up so much when Peter activated "instant kill mode," after him panicking over it in Homecoming I loved that Tony's (almost) last words were a defiant " I am Iron Man," calling back to the very beginning of all this. Having the kid from Iron Man 3 show up at Tony's funeral was a totally unexpected but nice touch. I thought it was a really lovely touch that one of the last scenes in the movie was Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau, the director of the first Iron Man movie) sitting with Tony & Pepper's daughter talking about cheeseburgers, another sweet little callback to the first movie in this series. Loved (in a crushingly sad way) how Endgame mirrored Infinity War with Peter and Tony; near the end of Infinity War, Tony was with a dying Peter and couldn't do anything to save him, and this time, Peter was with a dying Tony and couldn't do anything to save him. Ow, my heart. The "you can't go home again" vibe toward the end of the movie was also very welcome IMO. Seeing Peter going back into school and looking around like "how can this ever be normal?" or Barton going home to his family after everything he's been through, and all the rest. It's heartbreaking, and I appreciate that the Russos didn't flinch from it. Judging from the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer (spoiler tagging just in case you prefer to skip trailers) {Spoiler}It looks like pretty much the entire core cast of Homecoming must've been dusted for the five year gap, because they're all the same age as Peter for Far From Home, rather than being five years older and already graduated from high school.

I haven't been choked up by awe in a movie moment like that since the Rohirrim rode to Minas Tirith's rescue in Return of the King. Would it have killed them to have Nick Fury and Maria Hill in a corner, standing next to Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones? You didn't even need to have them seen in that fight, just appearing out of a portal. You know Fury knows about them and how to find them. Whatever. Maybe they'll show up in the NEXT Phase now that Netflix is done with them. No, we didn't need it, but wouldn't it have been nice? Plus where oh where is Lady Sif? Perhaps Asgardians of the Galaxy will sort that out LOL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fury and Hill actually ARE in the battle, just there's so much going on none of us noticed. I don't know if that's the case, just it wouldn't surprise me given that Fury is in the film during the funeral Regarding the Netflix heroes though, they actually can't. The contract with Netflix stipulated that Marvel isn't allowed to reuse the characters for a three-year period after cancellation. So if we see those heroes show up again at all, it's not going to be for some time yet. Lady Sif...yeah. This has actually been bugging me for a long time now, certainly since Ragnarok, if not before. I really like her, and want her to show up again.

With all the mutual dealings with Sony re Spiderman they could surely have negotiated a five second cameo from Netflix. Though to be fair it wouldn't make economic sense, it'd just be fan pleasing. While I feel DC has turned it's game around with Aquaman and Shazam!, with Wonder Woman holding the high ground before that, they seriously need to up their game in response to Infinity War/Endgame.

I liked the bit in the battle sequence when all the women superheroes came together, especially the ones from Black Panther.
When Captain America didn't show up at the right time, I knew he'd taken the long way around.

I don't know that they need to just now. DC clearly does not have a Kevin Feige at the helm and until they do have that person, I think they should just concentrate on making good solo films with the characters they have. Or don't go whole hog into the massive team concept and go for a more limited approach and do a Brave & the Bold movie, which would basically be a team-up movie like Thor: Ragnarok. When they have that person n charge, then try for a Justice League style film. Basically, don't do something just because Marvel does.

I also think it is interesting that Endgame is such a downbeat film for much of its three hours and that it looks at PTSD in such a serious way.
And I guess there is a reason that in all the press coverage for the Black Widow film it has been pointed out that it is a prequel story. A big fat clue all along right there.
