Reminds me of this 12th Doctor comic from a few years ago!

I will say - the Ninth and Tenth Doctors don't really say anything that 100% discounts a previous Doctor having met Jack... especially given that Jack said he had to wait for "the right Doctor" or something to that effect. And the Doctor is not at all surprised that Jack is immortal in Utopia. Given the story is apparently about the Sixth Doctor dying and Jack taking over his mantle, I doubt it's as straightforward as the Doctor simply meeting Jack out of sequence. Yeah I agree this is obviously stranger than that, I'm just saying the door is open.

And maybe for the 60th Anniversary we can see this.... That Capaldi one might be the most Doctor-ish costume he'd ever wear tbh.

This item went right on my wish list, I've been hoping for this ever since the last one. Things are really tough right now but I should be able to pre-order it sometime before it comes out.
I am amazed looking at the pics davygallagher posted that it's Eccleston of all people who looks good in that outfit, I'd never have guessed that.

'Definitely a release I'd consider getting but, alas, as I'm going away to America in June, I don't think I'd really have the money to get it straight away...

I just saw the cover this morning and my first thought was the culmination of Colin's gag about having shot Peter and taken his job (viz. Arc of Infinity). Someone's gotten to Colin and John Barrowman's nicked his coat. " I always knew... that Sylvester bloke... would get me in the end..."
More seriously, great premise and with James Goss and Guy Adams at the helm, the temporal shenanigans involved are bound to be intensely interesting.

I showed the cover to a friend of mine. Her response was: "Wow, John Barrowman can pull off anything."

I think BF will have to work very very hard to outdo the sheer awesomeness of this cover.

I think BF will have to work very very hard to outdo the sheer awesomeness of this cover. Lee Binding has been absolutely crushing it with these Torchwood covers. Night of the Fendahl is still genuinely creepy with the Fendahleen hanging over Gwen like an archangel. I think I've been staring at this cover a bit too long. I can't decide if it's a composite image or Barrowman in actual costume, but that waistcoat is definitely new. Purple, green, blue and gold, but nothing clashes. It all complements. Amazing.

Looks like Barrowman wore the coat - the rest of the image, including the glorious waistcoat, might be an artistic creation (shame, because I want one!) Hell, what am I saying. Barrowman probably owns the coat!

Oh wow. I didn’t even realize this is a June release. That is an unusually quick offer to release title.

Wasn't Jago & Litefoot & Strax only a month or so between announcement and release? I seem to recall it was very quick.

Barrowman probably owns the coat! That picture has absolutely made my day. Like others have said, this would have been a 'possible/probable'purchase for me, but the cover has nailed the deal! I love the way Old Sixie's coat has gone from something people always used to moan about, to being a fixture in the Garden of Fond Memories.

It's never going to be one of those costumes fans are going to adopt into daily wear, but it certainly has its place. And hey, it was the 1980s - big hair, bold colours. It's not so much of a shocker looking back.

It was the decade of Adam Ant's punk-dandy-pirate aesthetic, Miami Vice's fluorescent pink jackets and Joan Collins's wardrobe from Dynasty certainly resonates with the look:
