Now that I am re-listening I can hear Alex in Jonathan. I guess I was so into the story that I didn't notice it. Well that's good acting for you. You'd expect anything else from Alex? Ha Ha of course not. He's nothing less than brilliant. Of course this series has some of the best writing but Alex's performance is what makes everything gel. It's not easy to essentially carry a series like this. I actually never heard of him until Dorian. Never watched Merlin (although I've started watching now) and well I will say Dorian & Alex are one of those special fandom discoveries. I know he wants to be in Doctor Who & I am thinking what is Steven Moffat waiting for? Okay I'll stop gushing Edit: Also the random play they go to see in the Living Image with Vivian Leigh was A Street Car Named Desire. I have tickets to see a production of that with Gillian Anderson this spring.

I just received my CDs today here in the states! How exciting! I am going to start a proper relisten before jumping into this one!. Anyone make an attempt at different cover art for each ep? Anyone care? LOL.

Also, have you ever seen Streetcar? It surprises me, since you're such a movie buff. If you haven't, you should really try and watch the movie with Marlin Brando. It's a real classic.

He turned up in the first two-parter, and Merlin mistrusted him because of a prophecy he (Merlin) had seen. If you have seen previous Merlin episodes dealing with prophecies, you'll realise how it turns out.

Yes I did see the movie back in high school but strangely enough I've never rewatched it. I really should as I love Tennessee Williams. But I never saw the play live either or any of Williams plays on stage...just watched the movies.

I've just started listening to Series 4 in the car and "The Enigma of Dorian Gray" has reminded me why I love this BF series. It really is up there as "Best Range" contender and the Narration makes a welcome return.
Cheers
