Yes, I forget the animations don't come out on bluray in places like North America at all. I should also say for anyone into other spinoffs; Reeltime's limited edition bluray of The White Witch Of Devil's End, The Daemons sequel, is also out March 2nd. So that's Season 12 reissue, White Witch, Faceless Ones and Series 12 of the new series all within 2 weeks.Thank God I've paid most of them in advance! What’s nice about the US is we’ve already got the Season 12 set but Season 26 is my other big March purchase We've had the S12 set too, nearly 2 years ago but it sold out in less than a week and many fans, quite a few on here, missed out wheras S26 was out last month here and I don't think anyone takes any chances with the sets here now, the orders go in ASAP!

Bluray and DVDs of Faceless Ones will be out on March 9th! And still no artwork up on Zoom or Amazon. Taking the title a bit literally, aren't they?

Great to have a release date, I’m looking forward to it; it’s not a story I know much about.
March is a good month to be a Doctor Who fan - it’s a good job I’ve paid for a couple of the items already!

Official announcement was due tomorrow I believe but DWM at least had the release date today, with "more news" next month which is a bit late for pre-orders but oh well. We're buying it anyway! No idea what the bonus disc for the steelbook could have this time. Tooth and Claw perhaps, with the Pauline Collins connection. Anneke will be selling signed copies from her site from then at least if anyone wants an autographed one.

Very nice, and very complete on the extras. Really doing us proud with these - and the super S4 TARDIS team, getting the prominence they deserve at last.

Anyone been able to glean from the details put up so far whether the Limited Edition has an extra disc, and if so what's on it? (The Zoom listing shows all versions are 3 discs, which would be a departure, and Amazon doesn't appear to say how many discs).

The official announcement was today after all! In Anneke, I trust as she's the one who said it was despite DWTV breaking the story early. Gorgeous steelbook cover. Tin foil hat time but it was the same with Macra...do they do intentionally bad standard bluray and DVD covers so the steelbook looks even more appealing by comparison? Those covers are awful wheras I love the steel one.

(The Zoom listing shows all versions are 3 discs, which would be a departure, and Amazon doesn't appear to say how many discs). I think the way they've done it, it'll need 3 discs - 6 colour eps, 6 b&w, telesnaps of 4 eps and the 2 surviving eps. It will mean anyone who wants to jump between say the B&W eps and the "real" stories will need to change discs a few times but that's part and parcel of the 6 parter - the more ways they present it, the more room it needs. I don't see any scope for a bonus disc with this many permutations. I wonder if they thought just adding a New Who ep and confidential to a set wasn't all that enticing anyway since surely everyone that wants them tends to have them. Personally I'm happy to stump for the steel not just because the artwork is 10 times better but knowing the range runs on fine margins I like to support it with a few extra quid here and there.

I wondered that too, but I've seen nothing anywhere to suggest the Steelbook has extra content this time. (TBH I didn't buy it for the extra content last time which was just 'Gridlock' and a couple of related extras.) The Steelbooks are very nice items to collect and worth a tenner more imo, but I'm rather pleased that everyone will get the full Chamaeleon Tours experience and arrive at the same content destination even if they don't want to spend the extra for a 'First-Class seat'.
EDIT: Agree with Davy, the Steelbook artwork is beautiful again.

Coincidence, but just seen this brilliant colour photo, posted today by Rob Baker on Twitter, of London Airport (Heathrow) in 1958: You can almost picture the Doctor & Jamie on the runway...

'Where are they Doctor? What's happened to Polly and Ben?' 'Well Jamie, I think they're at Gatwick.' 'You mean we're in the wrong place again?!' 'Yeeees... but it's the right city and almost the right Time, and it's an airport, so we're doing quite well aren't we?!'
(Jamie rolls his eyes...)

You just know if Davison got there to that pic in S19 he'd have said "Close enough" and kicked Tegan out the door.

OOH... I will check on the JB HIFI website- they have a Doctor Who section of dvds/blurays They don't have it listed yet (hence why I used the Sanity link ). JB have only just listed the Season 26 Blu-ray, and Sanity have had their listing for about three weeks now. If you want a JB pre-order, I suggest waiting until early March. They should have a product listing by then (No, I haven't spent months comparing different products between these two stores and making note of their product listings. Not at all...)

There is only 3 Sanity music stores in Adelaide now, all on the other side of town! I found them way too expensive. Unfortunately pretty much every other music store has closed to the juggernaut that is JB Hifi- to be fair their cd/dvd/bluray prices are getting a bit cheaper now..

We've got a Sanity and a JB Hi-Fi in my area, but we're not quite sure how the Sanity stays open. The JB Hi-Fi prices are the best I've seen in my life, and when you consider inflation's supposed to happen that's quite a big deal. I used to be loyal to Sanity as it was the best outlet where I grew up, but then I saw reason and jumped ship to JB. I can't tell you how much money I've saved on TV/moves/music since...
