Well my B&M is still heaving with Tenth Doctor (someone’s gotta keep the shelves warm I suppose) but happily crammed in between them were some Eighth Doctor sets!
I was on fence about getting this one cos I have got the original Movie & Dark Eyes Eight figures but recent events have upped my enthusiasm for Eighth Doctor and I can’t deny the figures look great in the flesh. Plus a Time War variant, happy days.
I also bought a radiator rack and a packet of biscuits - B&M is a bloody weird shop.

Happily this winter wave of figures was more fruitful for my B&M, sporting both Dalek two packs and the Ninth Doctor set (which I passed on cos lol I cannot believe they are still releasing that Rose figure). No Davros sadly so that’ll probably be an eBay purchase one day.

Character is dipping into non-TV looks again, with the Sixth Doctor from The Ultimate Adventure. I suppose in the mind’s eye he might be wearing this in the audio version too.
The Five Doctors set is tempting me, more for the Dalek than Hurndall. Got a Necros Dalek already so definitely don’t need more…definitely.

But the Necros Dalek is new, sherlock! New eyestalk, lights, lifted neck section, chunkier “shoulder” and I think the skirts look to be steeper to match the brand new props from the time. Nice little wave. Love that battered TARDIS and great that they remade the Hurndall head. It’s long been leaked but the original sculpt was binned some time back. |
