I'm waiting for someone, possibly Big Finish, to explain how the Statue of Liberty was (a) replaced with a giant Weeping Angel. Seriously, we have photos of it being constructed, it definitely wasn't originally an Angel. And (b) how did no one see it moving around when it did? Have a look at the worst Ghostbusters movie to see another version moving about (yes, GB 2 is the worst one). And (c), how did no one on that roof at least HEAR it behind them? So explanations please!!!

To be fair, I only thought of it later, when I was reading Time And Again, by Jack Finney.

And we all know that Ms. Liberty is made of copper, which is why it's green. Not stone. So yeah, makes absolutely no sense. And honestly, as a native New Yorker, that was the first thought I had when watching the episode.

I thought it was silly, but I have to admit I didn't think about the statue not being stone, even though I've visited it (and gone up in it) more than once.

None of my family have ever even been to America, let alone New York, but the moment that giant face appeared behind Rory every single one of us turned to each other with a look of "Ah... what?" It seemed like such a blatantly obvious mistake that what we were seeing couldn't be real. And then we learned it was. I know some people can overlook mistakes like that, but if a story can't even stick to its own basic principles then what's the point? It's like trying to watch Blink after The Time of Angels - all the new rules added in Time cause so many retroactive problems in Blink it's not funny, yet make the rules they did... (Sorry, I think I might have gone off on one there)

- More War Doctor in any form, hopefully with Leela, maybe narrated by her. I've been thinking about this a little more and realizing Leela actually has so many different time periods in her life she could merit a boxset of her own. So what about a Companion Chronicles Special, continuing Leela's arc from the original monthly run as the frame narrative. Including a Fourth Doctor and K9 story, a Jago and Litefoot story*, a Gallifrey story and a War Doctor story. With a guest star per story, like, say, John Leeson, Christopher Benjamin, Lalla Ward and Ken Bones. *I would also accept Leela meeting Vastra and co. during J&L 3 or 4.There was in interview with Nigel Fairs years ago where he said his Leela trilogies were conceived like the Star wars trilogies - i.e. 3 x 3. What we got in the CCs was episodes 4-7. So there is scope for 1-3 , 8 & 9.

(Sorry, I think I might have gone off on one there) In fairness The Time of Angels did try to explain the new rules by claiming that Angels in Blink were just weak scavengers whereas the Angel in the Byzantium was at the height of its power. I’ve always wondered why the Statue of Liberty Angel was even included, it doesn’t actually do anything. It just turns up and looms over the building.

Surely the fact there must have been an extended period time absolutely NO-ONE was looking at the Statue Of Liberty for it to get to that hotel is a much bigger plot hole. Even in the dead of night there must be tonnes of people looking at it. It doesn't bother me in the slightest. It was, I think, just a daft thing, an OTT visual to go into the credits for. Nothing that affected the plot at all. Season 7A was when Moffat said every story was going to be "a movie", I think that was the "looks cool for the trailer, put it in" part, in that case!

Of course now I've pondered it, we don't see all the OTHER stuff that 12 was doing in The Return of Dr Mysterio, so this may have already been fixed.

Ohh, and him meeting River Song. It would be really interesting to see if/how she gels with someone who never was, or ever would be “her Dcotor”. Agreed - and maybe she can also meet the Valeyard for good measure? I like the idea of River and the Valeyard

2) And now to completely contradict my previous point: while I completely understand and respect that BF seems to have no desire to recast John Hurt, I would be totally on board with a series of adventures featuring a younger War Doctor played by someone else. In some way this seems less egregious to me simply because we never had any opportunity to see a 30something-year-old John Hurt in the role. I'd also like for it to be something harder-edged, with the WD doing some distasteful things, but that's something I just don't see BF ever doing. I think the Doctor chronicles is the ideal format for the young war dr. That way it is a narrator and not a recast, so no heat generated. If it proves popular then they can move to full cast

Mel's first story. I know they say The Wrong Doctors was it, but it wasn't really. Or more accurately, I'd like the story where Mel meets the Dr for what is, from her point of view, the firs time and then starts travelling with him. I'd accept Business Unusual if they revived the novel adaptations.
I'd like the prequel to Talons - the earlier incarnation that Five telephones at the end of Butcher of Brisbane
I'd also like the Dr's first meeting with the Cybermen - I think The Tenth Planet was the second time he had been involved in the 1986 invasion. I think a younger version of One was there at the same time, which is how he knew what would happen. either as a 1DA with David Bradley or an Early Adventure would be fine. and someone like Jonathan Morris who does timey-wimey so well to write it.

I'd like to hear a William Russell/Carole Ann Ford led Early Adventure for this. I've thought it would be a good fit ever since I saw they'd Domain of the Voord. Then, when they did The Sontarans, it seemed inevitable they do a pre- Tenth Planet Cyberman story, they just... haven't. But one is always hopeful
