Looking forward to this as well. I wonder if they will be strictly one month per episode or vary.

The January of Death The February of Death The March of Death etc. I'm not quite sure how they resisted calling the range "The Robots Of..." and then gone for episode titles like doom, despair, destruction, denial. Mind you, 'The Robots of Life' is a killer title, isn't it!

Kaldor City's a pretty fascinating setting for how readily it examines the mentality of machine-driven societies.
We have our killer robots, sure, but what about the false positives? What if a neighbour becomes convinced that the elderly couple in the residential complex diagonal of them have been replaced by Vocs? What actions would they take to prove it, even if wasn't true? Do families with severe robophobia deliberately forgo bionic limb replacements for their children based on their own prejudices? Are there situations where robots don't recognise the children they're caring for because their vocal patterns have changed? There were robot investigators, where else in society are Vocs used? Civil management? Justice? Health? Politics?
As a series, The Robots is going to have a tonne of ground to explore. It'll be fantastic to see what they come up with.

I've just had a bit of a think over this again, and I already am dreading the final boxset. Liv is by far the heart and soul of the current McGann era, and she deserves a series of her own, but it's a case of me wanting Liv and Nicola Walker to have a spin-off that rivals the amount of Jago and Litefoot stories, at the very least.

Well, she is very popular. I am pretty sure they won’t let her disappear just like that. I somehow get the feeling that there will be more to the story... maybe we learn at the end of Ravenous that she had replaced herself with an Android doublicate and the Doctor and Helen have to find the real one? Wouldn’t that be a great sci-fi trope? Or even better, maybe there is now an evil robot double of her ruling Kaldor and they have to go up against her? Or maybe she becomes like Charley and pops up everywhere? Or even if she dies, maybe she gets the Lucie Miller treatment? Looking at how BF handles popular characters right now, the last thing that will happen is her dying and we will never hear of her again.

I really hope she goes out in the main series with a bang eclipsing Lucie Mille but I am also 100% sure we won’t have lost her. Looking forward to that!

I've often wondered what it would be like for Eight and Liv to have a male companion with them. Eight's had next to no male companions on audio, and I think there's a lot of potential for a new one with Liv.

However, haven’t there been hints that Liv is a bit into Helen? But anything is possible. A new dynamic like that would certainly shake up the dynamic a bit. I am really curious to find out with which solution they are going to go. After all, we still have not heard anything about how the 8th Doctor series will go on and I bet we will only hear about it after Ravenous 4 is out to avoid spoilers. So something big is going to happen.

Now that I've finally preordered this...I'm actually finding I'm quite excited for it, far moreso than I was even 24h ago when I hadn't yet ordered!

Will be picking this up for sure, despite having a dislike of Claire Rushbrook. I loved 'Robots of Death', 'Robophobia' & 'Escape from Kaldor'.

Having just re-listened to Dark Eyes 2 where we get the first real introduction of Liv as a main character, I still think this will be great. Yes, Liv is not your average "In the face" character like Lucie or Charley. I think exactly that is the beauty of her. Plus I really enjoy her general attitude and sarcasm a lot. Giving her her own box sets will give the opportunity to explore her character deeper and it certainly has a lot of potential. I am looking forward to it.

I think she was one of the outstanding actresses in my favourite Tennant/Billie stories The Impossible Planet and Satan Pit so much so i wished she had a sequel story with that team.

i’m in the minority here but never highly rated the character of Liv. she has never become lodged in my mind the same way as Lucie or charley did. my interest was marginally peaked with the return of Pamela Salem and David Collings but this is more likely to be a sale purchase many years into the future. Needless to say, I hope that those who get it really enjoy it. Well Collings and Salem (Toos) have mileage all of them seeking their fortunes on a Sand Miner from supposedly influential families , i mean menial work. Not to mention those are high calibre actors/actresses who i feel may just enjoy exploring those classic Who characters from their past. Those characters have mileage and the after effects of Collings breakdown can be explored.Trauma recovery is a special interest of mine. Kaldor is such an interesting society and at least a mirror of our own so easier to empathise with.

Same here I love Liv as a character and don’t want all the by the numbers companions. I totally enjoyed her and Helens little girl to girl break on Kaldor it brought them into a very real scenario ,two girls out shopping. My only gripe and its not really a gripe is the releases.I have said before Four box sets of 3.Not 3 Box sets of 4....wasn’t too happy about that wee change of selling.
