Greatly saddened to see the news yesterday about Denise Nickerson, who originally played the part of Amy Jennings.
Deepest condolences to all of her family, friends and loved ones. May she never be forgotten.
Thank you so much, Big Finish, for making audios with Denise for us to treasure.

I remember, in my complete viewing of the TV series that my initial reaction was "well, at least she's not singing London Bridge...". Her character, Amy, became a bit sassier than I expected, and she got several emotional parts to play, and not always in the cliched pouty way. She was the most memorable of the young girl characters in the show.
It was slightly confusing after Amy was recast and then Denise turned up playing another character. I think it was explained somewhere, but I've forgotten. But it's good that we had a fine new Amy, and still got Denise as well.
And yes, it's good that the only other role I know Denise in (Violet in Willy Wonka) was also bizarre but in a non-Dark Shadows way. I like to think she had a crazy enjoyable childhood that gave her a great launch into her later life.
RIP, Denise
