Looks like this is after Journey’s End as Josh Carter is in it.

Hopefully the news article will tell us more. I’d guess it’s set between The Runaway Bride & Partners in Crime, but there’s not anything specific. Jacqueline Rayner writing for Donna is a perfect combination!

Looks like this is after Journey’s End as Josh Carter is in it. Forgive my ignorance, but what makes you think it’s after Journey’s End specifically? It could make for a good farce, though, with Sylvia trying to stop Donna getting involved and regaining her memories.

Plot theory only way it works is if Carter is under cover, I don't think Donna has knowledge of UNIT prior to Sontaran Stratagem and post Journey's End should the protective coma.
EDIT
Wrong they're set during the Series but on a break from the Doc Regards

Sounds vague yet great. I never considered the fallout from Silence in the Library - one of my all time favourite stories - but it seems so obvious now. Donna with her own companion of sorts really reinforces the DoctorDonna dynamic too, I think. Brilliant!

Which interestingly confirms this series is not before or after her travels, but during them. Oddly though there’s nothing about what the series will really be about, aside from Donna saving the world from monsters.

Let's be honest, Big Finish just wanted to make this audio box set because they want me to add more stories to Donna's timeline. Good news though. Tim.

Oddly though there’s nothing about what the series will really be about, aside from Donna saving the world from monsters. I think the reception has been oddly muted so far. I understand that some of us knew such a set was happening, and we’re only a couple of hours after the announcement, but it does seem like the reception should be bigger than it is. I think part of it is that it’s rather vague. The titles and the cast have been released, but it’s such a quirky set that I think it could do with having synopsis and a trailer included. The quotes from the news piece don’t give a lot away. I’m personally intrigued by the placement, but I don’t think it necessarily sells the set. I thought the way they did The Lives of Captain Jack 2 was really good. Announce with full details, get people riding on the quirky promotional wave by pre-ordering and then release the following month.

Definite pre-order for me. I'm so happy about this. Donna is tied for my favorite companion ever along with Lucie Miller, so this is a very, very good month for me.

I think the reception has been oddly muted so far. Considering that we have little more than story titles, authors, and cast, with no preview, and the release is nearly a year away, it's pretty good reception.
Based on the writers and the cast, I'll be pre-ordering it.
I note that 5 listeners already recommend this release on the BF listings page, even though it's a year away from release. That's more recommendations than most main range releases.
Reminder: BF now has a listener recommendations (= like) option for all releases, so go mark those releases that you love.

Well, yes, I did mention that part of it is due to the vague or lack of information provided so far. A lot of other releases seem to garner more interest and discussion with equal or less amounts of information. I’m not just talking this forum, but others and social media. I did offer speculative comments about why this could be. I don’t put much importance on the “Recommend” function. It seems especially moot to recommend something without even listening to it, much like the reviews on Amazon prior to a products release.

Since I have spend too much money on BF lately, I think I will wait with pre-ordering until we get a bit more info...

I've been agreeing with this up until lately - it didn't seem quite right to me that people would recommend things they haven't even heard - but I guess if people are sort of using the "recommend" button as a "like" button to express enthusiasm about a release (even if it's not out yet) I probably can't see what would be wrong with that.
