I was going to let this one pass me by...but having just listened to Catherine and Niky bouncing off each other in the trailer I'm starting to change my mind. Sounds like it might be a fun listen. As for Ganthak's 'naughty' confession of scrumping, I wonder if it was a deliberate nod to a certain someone's equally 'naughty' confession a couple of years back to running through the wheat fields? Or if my mind deliberately led me to that comparison? 🤔😁

Scrumping is stealing fruit from the orchard (or garden) it's growing in, and most commonly applies to apples.

I remember my dad telling me he used to go scrumping when he was a boy (he was a bit of a ****** in his youth) - basically it is stealing apples from an orchard. 😊 Edit : what cwm said.

Six mentions it when climbing over a wall in Revelation of the Daleks part 1

Thanks folks. Not many apple orchards where I grew up. Now I take my kids to one to pick our own apples every autumn.

Yeah judging from how much they’ve been tweeting about it the last couple days, I’m thinking this is out before the end of the week lol

Catherine Tate returns to play Chiswick’s finest with Jacqueline King reprising her role as Donna’s mum, Sylvia, and Niky Wardley playing Donna’s BFF Natalie.

Does this set have its own unique theme, or did they just go for the series 4 Who version?

Wow... I think you can tell that Sylvia isn't being written by James Goss in this one. He's written every other audio story for her so far and I felt there was so much more depth to her character here. That outburst about losing her husband was quite shocking, and it throws her relationships with both Donna and the Doctor in a very different light. I thoroughly enjoyed this first episode and I'm looking forward to the rest

I think my main takeaways from this set will be:
I want as much more Donna as BF are willing to give
And
I’d certainly not complain if Nat joined the Doctor and Donna for a Series of 10DAs.
