I think my main takeaways from this set will be: I want as much more Donna as BF are willing to give And I’d certainly not complain if Nat joined the Doctor and Donna for a Series of 10DAs. Maybe they could meet up with the Eighth Doctor and Tamsin...

Nice little diversion
Great to hear something by Jac Rayner again Dorney delivers as usual and Messer's Goss and Fitton round it off
Finally Donna gets a pal besides the Doc she kind of likes (Tate and Wardly continue to bounce off each other well)
The Villains are charmingly B-List
Overall then a fun "Busmen's Holiday" experience.
4/5

Downloading now. May even start on it today. Have been looking forward to this because Catherine Tate has proven that she totally can carry audio drama (and audio books for that matter) as the lead.

Not ashamed to say, one story in and I'm already having a whale of a time. Just a serious question though: why is Jacqueline Rayner not writing WAY more Big Finish stuff? I think shes one of their most undervalued writers, and I'd love to see her come back to regular scripting.

Loved it! I'm exhausted and off to bed and too tired to write much, but the only issue I have with it is that although I love Nikki Wardley I found that when she used the accent she sounded way too much like Donna. I had some trouble telling them apart multiple times throughout the set.

First story. That was fun! This is exactly what I had expected of this box set. Donna is great here, taking initiative, being clever and standing up to her mum. A bit sad we are missing Wilf in this. He would have been the cherry on top. I also liked how Sylvia was humanized and while she is annoying as always, you actually get some glimpses of the person beneath. Now I am curious where we are going next....

Just started listening to the first story. {Spoiler} Donna's blasé attitude during the speed dating sequence just made me laugh out loud.

Finished the first episode, really fun and enjoyable. A good mix of resourcefulness and cheeky humor from Donna as usual, Nat is a great character and I loved the more emotional bits with Sylvia. That cliffhanger reminded me of one from NuWho, but done right this time. I think I will really enjoy this set.

I loved Out of this World. A story that’s so authentic it slots perfectly into its respective series, with a bonkers concept and lots of fun. Jaq Rayner just gets Donna and also gives Sylvia some lovely material to work with. Nat is great and Niky’s rapport with Catherine shines.

{Spoiler} The Stabucks joke with "Dunna" was another favorite of mine.

I really like the concept of Spinvasion. I think the execution gets a little muddled, with some back and forth, but it’s still a lot of fun. Donna taking on the role of the Doctor is great for a few reasons, as it shows how far she’s come but also is a sign of her eventual fate. Donna’s conversation with Nat at the end is lovely and harks back to her actions in Fires of Pompeii, Planet of the Ood, etc. where she wants to help and cannot stand the death.

Finished Spinvasion. This was an interesting spin on the whole PR and corporate idea. It reminded me a bit of "Human Resources" and certainly developed along these lines, before taking a slightly deviant turn. I am also warming up to Nat. She is a very human and relatable character, she is no hero, but she tries to give the best she can.

I’ve got mixed feelings about The Sorcerer of Albion. I wasn’t a fan of Donna’s reduced role, the guest cast and their dialogue quickly began to grate and I thought the Emergency Program 12 / Garrison character was odd. I liked the idea behind him, but he ended up being an odd rent-a-Kamelion; he should’ve either spoken like the Doctor or been an actual telepathic projection of Gary.
It’s not a bad story by any means and it’s certainly not without merit. Nat gets developed as a character and I loved her outburst about the situation she’s in. Her interaction with Donna where she’s called brilliant is lovely and there’s some sad irony that Donna sees that in Nat but not herself. The final 10 minutes are brilliant too, really good stuff.
Plenty to like but it didn’t quite gel together as one great whole for me.

Finished the set.
This was an entertaining and fun set. It did not wow me or blow my mind, but I enjoyed myself.
Yes, it was neither deep not were there any large stakes, but that is nice for a change. Catherine Tate is amazing in this and my belief that she was able to carry this was not misplaced. I also liked Sylvia in this and that says a lot since I found her very annoying and definitely too close to my mum who behaves much to much like her towards me.
The last story was definitely the best, it had the best pacing, great action scenes, good characters and of course the expected cameos.
There was also a lot of humour in this. Donna really gets to shine, and Nat is a character I hope we will see again.
So yes, I can recommend this.

'Out Of This World' was highly entertaining, I went straight back and listened to it again, which made 'Spinvasion' a real shock to the system, admittedly I'm only half way through, but I'm bored to sobs. I'd like to skip the rest of it and jump straight onto the next one. I haven't checked, but it's either a Tennant sound-a-like playing a part, or it is David Tennant, which frankly isn't helping !

Lords 'Spinvasion' was torture, I barely got to the end, in the end. One of the worst things I've heard in quite a while. I think I switched off mentally 3/4 through, and it was just noise in my ear while I was walking the dog. I hope the next two stories get back to the fun of the initial story in this set because I can't go through another two hours of mind numbing nonsense like that again.

It’s not David Tennant whoever you’re talking about because I don’t recall anyone in the set sounding remotely like Tennant except Tennant himself, who’s in the last episode.
