'Out Of This World' was highly entertaining, I went straight back and listened to it again, which made 'Spinvasion' a real shock to the system, admittedly I'm only half way through, but I'm bored to sobs. I'd like to skip the rest of it and jump straight onto the next one. I haven't checked, but it's either a Tennant sound-a-like playing a part, or it is David Tennant, which frankly isn't helping ! It’s not David Tennant whoever you’re talking about because I don’t recall anyone in the set sounding remotely like Tennant except Tennant himself, who’s in the last episode. Well I don't know who it was, but the minute they started talking all I could hear was Tennant.

Maybe Phil Cornwell as Parsnip? He’s a bit estuary. Don’t think they sound remotely similar personally, but depends where you’re from.

Finally got round to The Chiswick Cuckoos. It's nice to get back to the main story after the diversion in the middle of the set and I think it's better for it. Lots of fun, a bonkers idea and a couple of lovely cameos. Donna is in her element here and it really serves to make her departure all the more tragic.
Overall a lovely set. A bit of a blip in the middle, but there's enough to like to not really dampen the whole set. Catherine is a great asset to Big Finish and I hope she'll be reprising Donna again sooner rather than later.

Do we know what the current Big Finish presale pricing policy is? Do titles released in March go up in price on April 1? I haven't gotten around to buying this one yet and am wondering if I should pull the trigger now, or if I can wait a little bit.

My take on Kidnapped is now up at CultBox: "...full of heart as well as gags and it provides some lovely moments for the Donna/Sylvia relationship."

This is such a fun set. I think "The Chiswick Cuckoos" is my favorite episode, but it's hard to pick just one episode. I'd love to hear more sets featuring the Noble family and it'd be great to have Niky Wardley's Nat along for the ride as she was a welcome surprise and had some great chemistry with the cast.

Have listened to the first 2 episodes. Great fun.
Contained one of the best double entendres in Big Finish.

Have listened to it all now and really enjoyed it.
Don't know if it was fortunate or unfortunate this came out the same month as the Faceless Ones animation - the last episode kept reminding me of a cartoon I had watched recently ...
One question: What happens when Donna runs into Nat after Journey's End and Nat says something that reminds Donna about the TARDIS and the Doctor, etc? Is that the end of Donna or does Sylvia have Nat well warned?

Just finished listening to the set (in progress on the Behind the Scenes). Overall it was a fun romp. Just great to hear Catherine Tate bluff her way around.

Well, I enjoyed that. The ending lines of The Sorcerer of Albion made me laugh out loud.

There's a free BF download with the next DWM, and the picture they've used to illustrate it on the cover is from this box set, so I'm guessing it's likely the opening story.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the full set. Tales of New Earth was given away for free in a deluxe issue DWM, which this upcoming issue is. It’s a one-off set too that’s presumably made its money back, so barring any future sales, there’s little money to be made off it in the future. It’s also a very good introduction to Big Finish, featuring a beloved companion, directly off the back of a beloved televised story and has a substantial cameo from David Tennant, so they could do much worse than giving it away for nowt.
