I wonder what it was previously though, and how many CDs are sat doing not much in the BF warehouse.
Yes, I'm hoping for another warehouse sale.

Big Finish Day which i hope one day to attend would be rather empty without having a heap of CDS to browse and possibly buy but alas all things change

I'm sure I can't be the only one who always goes for the CD option but only listen to the download through the app. The vast majority of my BF CD collection is still sealed.
I ran out of shelving room to put them all display a couple of years ago so they're just piling up in cupboards now, but I'll keep on buying the CD version for as long as BF keep releasing on that format.

Space is one of the reasons I went download only, when you have boxes of unopened CDs and no where to put anything else......something had to give........ but it I don’t really understand it spoiling your listening experience, just burn ya own if you would rather listen that way

Remember when the Main Range had those wonderful exclusive pieces of double-spread artwork in the middle and writer's notes were a perk for CD buyers on almost every release? Doom Coalition was even announced in the Dark Eyes 4 notes before it was announced by BF officially on the site so it felt "special" in a way a lot of CDs now don't. Costs, no doubt, mean things like an extra bit of printed paper being cut out saves BF cash but...I dunno. Still miss it. Even the Legacy Of Time set, if that was out 5 years ago it would be in a much nicer presentation package, I think. Hell, even this year the 10th Doc Vol 3 box was a lot nicer.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with the Legacy of Time packaging. I wish I hadn't bothered treating myself to the physical version; the Tenth Doctor sets are way nicer and they do feel more deluxe.

Yes the two page spreads booklets definitely were so much better i have to agree. The Legacy was sleek looking but definitely NOT SPECIAL

Yes the two page spreads booklets definitely were so much better i have to agree. The Legacy was sleek looking but definitely NOT SPECIAL It reminded me of the limited edition set that had most of the first "season" of McGann audios in one big box. Another thing I miss is the signed pre-orders for certain things. I got Tom's autograph on Treasure Island and Tom Baker At 80, Peter Davison's, Colin's, Paul's and Sylv's all on their respective Music From The Audio releases, Alex Vlahos' on the classics edition of Picture Of Dorian Gray, Louise Jameson's on The Omega Factor and one or two others I feel like I'm forgetting and none of them cost a penny more than a regular order, just a reward for upfront buying. But, again, if they're trying to push people digitally I can see why taking incentives like that away from the CD would be something that they'd sadly look to do. Imagine how fast a signed David Tennant set on pre-order would have sold!

I'm slowly but surely coming round to the idea of downloads. I bought the first Series of Survivors on CD in a sale but the other eight are all downloads, and the audiobook. In Doctor Who terms I want CD copies of certain Doctor/Companion teams but am happy for the rest to be download only, or not at all - can't bring myself to buy The Defectors! Once upon a time this was inconceivable but 'times change and so must I.' I have quite a few releases download only and love lying in bed listening to them on my mp3 player. In someways it even feels more intimate than on CD.

I definitely understand those who wants CDs, I'm very much a physical media type of person most of the time. But unfortunately with Big Finish it's download or bust, as an overseas buyer it's just too costly otherwise. That's why I haven't been able to listen to much of pre-boxset Benny.
Ideally both options should be there for those who want them, so I definitely wouldn't want CDs to go away entirely.
