Okay I'm sorry but I find Vicki's face hilarious on that cover. Apart from that, the fourth episode in particular seems kinda neat.

The stories sound intriguing and it’s great to have another First Doctor, Ben & Polly adventure.

In general, I was not really interested in this... however, the stories DO sound very interesting indeed. So I might be tempted...

I have very much enjoyed these releases and there have been some very strong stories to enjoy. It is good to branch out of your usual Doctor range and try something different The Mouthless Dead story defintely sealed the range for me and I began to purchase theses CDs and am defintely looking forward to the Homeguard release with The Master Second Doctor ,Jamie,Ben and Polly

Anneke is in the group that could 'read the phone book' and make it compelling for me. Any release that involves her is an instant must have. And Ben/Polly stories are still in the few and far between range to make them a must have as well.

Doesn't the trailer sound very exciting, same with the music!

This is the first 1st Doctor box set I pre-ordered. The stories sound really interesting and original, not the usual standard. I have not gotten any of the previous sets, simply for the reason that I am not too much into this era and the stories just sounded... not very gripping. And the trailer is pretty good, too, which increases the hope that this will be pretty good.

This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Even the trailer feels like a redemption from last year's absolutely dreadful 2nd Doctor set with a set of stories all about heroes and heroism which really feel they'll fit the era like a glove.

I really enjoyed the last set of stories. I have developed a total fondness for Elliot Chapmans Ben a truly loyal companion. I find John Pritchard stories engaging, Fields of Terror ,Iron Maid and Mouthless Dead are great tales And am awaiting what he does in this set. Between this and the First Doctor sets they cannot come soon enough

Doesn't the trailer sound very exciting, same with the music! I think they have upped their game as regards trailers . I think the confidence in the range has helped too as word of mouth spreads that these are enjoy able tales well told and dramatised/narrated.The cover for this one is also very visually stunning and colourful compared to previous ones. Its a product that smacks of confidence let’s hope the stories are as engaging and entertaining and captivating as the cover art work and trailer hint at

I would truly love Ben and Polly to get a great Dramatic story I mean Ben Is action Man really having him fend off hordes of Creatures even David Banks version of Cybermen Or a true horror defending his beloved Polly and the Doctor it would have been very interesting if they had kept on board with Jamie and Troughton (no offence to Polly she could be off getting fish and chips 😂)when the kids have a lads night out

More First Doctor adventures with Ben & Polly is very welcome. They have a different dynamic than with the Second Doctor and the ailing First Doctor is a great arc. I don’t think it should be exploited too much, but an Early Years (with Peter Purves or David Bradley) next year would be lovely.

Between this and the First Doctor sets they cannot come soon enough Oh yeah the Ben and Polly story was wonderful in a way only Season 4 could be but Dumb Waiter as a Jamie/Leela story felt underwritten, the Iron Maid was just really boring, and The Tactics of Defeat had a tenuous connection at best with the Second Doctor with Zoe in maybe 5 minutes of the story and the Doctor and Jamie knocked out in a closet the entire time. One really fun story and then three dull and poor stories that just didn't make the mark for me.

There is defintely something very unique in the chemistry of Frazer, Anneke and Elliot and Frazier’s Doctor that is also captured by Purves
