Hey everyone,
Does anyone know if there are any plans for Genndy Tartkosvy's series of Clone Wars shorts (screened on Cartoon Network before the release of Revenge of the Sith) to be re-released? Ebay prices for the DVDs are ASTOUNDINGLY high.

Since when does Lucasfilm ever release what the fans want to see? I'm so glad I own the Blu-Rays of the original cuts of the series. Oh wait...
The Clone Wars is seen as the dominant show so there's no chance of a rerelease, otherwise shops would be lined with the Ewok TV movies and the Droids and Ewoks DVD re-edits.

Though, a I posted, the older Clone Wars isn't OOP in the UK so it's not a Lucasfilm whitewash. The Ewok movies and sampler discs of Droids and Ewoks have both also been released on DVD. As, indeed, were the original trilogy Theatrical Cuts. So not very much has been supressed at all.

Well no, what I mean is those DVDs were released 11 years ago (around the same time as the microseries) and I see no chance of Lucasfilm re-releasing them, same as with Clone Wars. The theatrical cuts were 9 years ago - as a laserdisk transfer included as a bonus disk. But I doubt we'll see any new DVD or Blu-Ray releases. I own both volumes of Clone Wars and they're well worth having.

I don't think there's any reason to assume that someone at Skywalker ranch was miffed that Caravan Of Courage was on DVD and had it deleted The Ewoks films and the two animated series are niche. They weren't wider releases even at the time. There's no conspiracy here, there's plenty of great DVD titles long since deleted....and these are far from great. I'm sure we'll get the theatricals at some point. Believe me, there were people saying exactly what you are 10 years ago about them never coming out on DVD and then that changed.
